Bruce was an excellent guide - engaging, entertaining and expert on the history, context and techniques related to a carefully chosen selection of exhibits.

This was supposed to be a highlights tour and was supposed to only be 1.5 hours. Our tour started off with the guide forgetting her phone, which almost made us unable to go into the museum. Once we finally got in touch with a representative from the company, the tickets were forwarded to a phone of a visitor. The guide was an art history expert and spent a great deal of time on details that were unimportant to the overall presentation of the piece. The guide also spent a lot of time focusing on the timeline of the museum's collection instead of focusing on the more famous works and the pieces that most visitors want to see. Because we spent so much time on lesser known artists and pieces and the extended tour length, we exhausted the patience of the children and teens (ages 10-16) with us, so missed the time we wanted to spend with more famous works. The tour we had was not what was expected and everyone in our party left feeling very disappointed, frustrated, and exhausted. I definitely do not recommend this tour, especially if you want to see the highlights with children.

Victoria brings the paintings to life with her in-depth knowledge of art history. We appreciated that she pointed out different elements in the paintings that made them more meaningful. She was also incredibly personable and fun to have a conversation with, and she had some wonderful comparisons to the other works of the artists we were talking about in the Uffizi exhibits.

AnnaMaria was able to give us background and context for everything we saw. She knew the best vantage points and places to stand and had a passion and grasp of her topic we loved. Made the most of this amazing experience.

Our tour guide, Bruce, was beyond excellent. He was knowledgeable and taught us a lot while also being entertaining. He clearly knows his subject well.

Our group of nine (eight of us friends, plus one additional member) were guided by Bruce, who was excellent. His knowledge of and passion for the artworks were second to none and gave real meaning to our visit. Bruce's tour lasted around an hour to an hour and a half. He selected a range of artworks on the second floor that gave us, not only an insight into the individual artists and the paintings themselves, but also allowed Bruce to explain how painting techniques changed across the period. Bruce explained in a way that was simple to understand and with a dose of good humour thrown in. At the end of the tour, Bruce made suggestions about the artworks that we should look out for on the first floor, allowing us to visit these by ourselves. The general consensus amongst the group was that Bruce's commentary brought the artworks alive, which made the visit so much more worthwhile. Thanks Bruce! It's also worth noting that our group visit was at 11.30am and it was VERY busy in the museum. One friend visited on the same day at 8.30am and was virtually the first one in, with empty galleries. So, if you like your personal space or arent keen on crowds, book an early time slot!

Iliana was such a wonderful guide and we were very fortunate to have her all to ourselves. She is knowledgeable about the art and helped us navigate an extensive collection by highlighting the major works, as well as pointing out some humorous and quirky highlights. Taking on the Uffizi at 18:00 was not the wisest decision on our part but Iliana knew the way to get through the crowd to appreciate the art. By the end of our guided tour the experience was less crowded. This experience was well worth the cost.

Very good Italian guide who spoke perfect English and brought the paintings life for us all. The gallery is very busy and without such a knowledgeble guide it would be overwhelming.
