I believe our guide was knowledgeable, unfortunately, we did not get a chance to see very many works of art during our tour. We waited too long on part of our group that was late. Then the guide spent too much time in the halls outside of the gallery rooms discussing Italian history and sightseeing landmarks and Florence neighborhoods. We had earpieces, these things could have been discussed while walking between gallery rooms. There are over 100 small rooms of art in the Uffizi. We saw 3 in 1.5 hours. It was supposed to be an art gallery tour, but we did not get that. We finally gave up and left the tour a little early in order to actually look at art.

Hard to understand guide - heavy German accent speaking English. Would be nice to have clearly heard what the guide was saying! Also, the guide knew the history but did not convey the timeline and interconnected events. There is a lot to explain so study up before you go!

This 90 minute tour was a perfect introduction to the museum. Our guide, Ana, was enthusiastic and an expert on the artwork. Her joy for the art and history made me more interested. She gave enough information about the renaissance movement that we could go through the rest of the museum with some core knowledge to guide us after the tour ended. Highly recommend! Thanks Ana!

The Uffizi Gallery is an incredible museum, but it can also feel overwhelming. With so many masterpieces and centuries of history under one roof, visiting on your own can be like drinking from a firehose. That’s why our tour with Olga was so valuable. Olga made the Uffizi accessible and engaging from start to finish. She expertly guided us through both the artwork and the history of the building itself, helping us understand not only what we were seeing but why it mattered. She highlighted the museum’s most important masterpieces while providing the historical and artistic context that brought them to life. What stood out most was Olga’s passion for the subject matter. Her enthusiasm was contagious, and her deep knowledge was evident throughout the tour. She was patient, accommodating, and always willing to answer questions, making sure everyone in the group could follow along and enjoy the experience. The Uffizi is one of the world’s great museums, and Olga’s guidance transformed what could have been an overwhelming visit into one of the highlights of our time in Florence. Highly recommended.
