Meet in central Maui for the 2.5-hour drive down the famous Hana Highway, a scenic stretch of coastal road along the island’s east shore that crosses more than 50 bridges. During your trip, you’ll loop around eastern Maui to the trailhead, where you begin your full-day hike through Maui’s ultimate waterfall wonderland, an area that is still described as “old Hawaii.” On a 4.5-mile excursion deep into Maui’s national park, you’ll adventure past a network of waterways and cascading waterfalls referred to as the “Seven Sacred Pools” due to its otherworldly beauty. Climb trails that cut through acres of towering bamboo and rich vegetation, and discover multiple waterfalls tucked deep into the forest, some measuring more than 400 feet (122 meters). Halfway through the day, stop for a deli-style sandwich lunch. Other snacks such as fresh island fruit, chips, cookies and water provided along the way will keep your energy up. After returning to the trailhead, you’ll circle one last time in a van around eastern Maui before ending your day-long journey into Hawaii’s untamed wilderness back in central Maui.

By far the highlight of our trip to Maui. Momo was an incredible tour guide. She was very knowledgeable, answered our many questions with a big smile, and was very sweet as a person. She is also an incredible driver-no mean feat on the Road to Hana! We really enjoyed the hike as well as the stops at waterfalls and beaches. It was fun to see the set turtles up close. We are really glad we chose this trip and are especially glad we got to know Momo.

I recently went on the Ultimate Hana Full-Day Adventure Tour. It was such an incredible experience and worth every penny! Michael was our tour guide and he was amazing. He made the experience so special and shared so much insightful information along the way that we never would have experienced if we didn’t do the tour. We saw so many different things along the way and the hike was awesome! Not too tough but not too easy. Very rewarding! The views are incredible all along the way! An experience that I’ll never forget!

Amazing to see all the beauty of (the Road to) Hana! Really nice guide with us, who could tell a lot about Hawai and different plants.

George was a fantastic guide! Members of our party of 10 were a little slower on the hike, but he never made us feel rushed. Fun to jump waterfalls, enjoy black sand beaches, hear a bunch about the history of the area (geology and paleontology), see multiple angles of the volcano, and even luck out with a full rainbow over the ocean. A great day!

This was such an amazing day! We chose this Road to Hana tour over others because of the hike to the waterfalls - specifically Waimoku - and that end result was well worth the trip! But so many other sights along the way during both the drive and hike were spectacular! Tim was very knowledgeable and a skilled driver as well. The hike was challenging for us both in our 60s - uphill most the way in - but manageable and both Tim and MoMo - who came along for training - were attentive and we did not feel rushed. Snacks, sandwiches (even gluten free), backpacks, etc all provided. Stops in Hana and, unexpectedly at the Twin Falls were so amazing! We will definitely use HikeMaui again if we get the opportunity!

My wife and I had a great time on this full day tour a couple of weeks ago. Michael is a very knowledgeable guide who is expert on the history and features of all the spots he showed us. He really made the trip stand out. The beauty of this area is something that can't be overstated. While I recommend this tour, it needs to be noted that each person should be in decent shape. We didn't have any problem with it, but we did notice a couple of people in our group that appeared to have been struggling towards the end. Overall 5-stars.

We did the full day Hana experience for our Anniversary. It was a last minute booking that we squeezed in on our stay in Maui. The last time I’ve been on the road to Hana was in 1980. Enrique was our guide, he was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Maui. The ride is winding and some areas only 1 vehicle could pass. I recommend taking a Dramamine prior. Enrique was a very safe driver and tried to make the ride as comfortable as possible. The views along the way are well worth the drive. Enrique had snacks, water and lunch prepared for the day trip. Once arriving at the hike, he gave us ponchos and hiking sticks to assist us. The hike is not to strenuous it was 1.8 miles one way. The end goal was Waimoku Falls which was beautiful. The ride back we had time to stop at Puaa Kaa State Wayside Park to see the waterfall and Ho’ Okipa Beach Park to see the turtles covering the beach. Overall, my wife and I are satisfied with the excursion and would recommend it to others.

Booking an excursion with Hike Maui was a great way to enjoy the Road to Hana and the Pipiwai Trail. We were able to relax during the drive and enjoy the views and some unique stops without the stress of navigating the winding roads ourselves. Our guide, George, was very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions we had. The bamboo forest was beautiful, and swimming near the Wailua Falls was an amazing experience we'll never forget!
