A fantastic walking tour around Whitechapel and the City of London, full of facts, clues and theories on who the Ripper may have been (keep in mind the identity was never proven), and the story of each victim. The walk is at a steady pace, and along the way we learn about life in London and of the etymology of a number of phrases that came from life in the area at the time (hangover, for example). "murder" tours aren't usually my thing but I think this has triggered a new intrigue in learning about the dark history of cities

Marina was great! She was very informative and took us to many different locations. The pictures really added to the story. It felt like we were part of solving the crime. I would definitely do this again!

If you’re interested in true crime, history, or the darker side of London, the Ultimate Jack the Ripper Tour is absolutely worth doing. Our tour ran from 7–9 pm and was led by Betina, who was an outstanding guide. First, the value is excellent for the price. You get two full hours of immersive storytelling while walking through the actual streets of the East End where the events took place. It’s a lot of walking, but that’s part of what makes it feel authentic—you’re literally tracing the path of the historical events. Betina was fantastic. She is clearly deeply knowledgeable and genuinely fascinated by the topic, which made the tour incredibly engaging. She didn’t just recite facts—she told the story in a way that made the history come alive. Her enthusiasm and expertise really elevated the entire experience. One thing that stood out was that Betina used an iPad to show historical photographs and documents, which added so much context. Seeing the old crime scene photos and images of the area as it looked in the 1800s made everything far more vivid and helped connect the locations to the story. We had a fairly large group, but Betina handled it effortlessly. She was very easy to follow and easy to hear, and she kept everyone engaged the whole time. Not an easy feat with a big group moving through busy streets at night! A couple practical tips for anyone going: • Dress warmly — it gets quite cold at night, especially standing outside while listening to the stories. • Be prepared for continuous walking. • There are no stops to sit, use the restroom, or grab water, so plan ahead. Also, keep in mind that the tour ends in an area that can feel a bit quiet late at night. If you’re traveling alone or in a very small group, it’s smart to plan your route home in advance (Uber, Jump, Tube, etc.), as the atmosphere after the tour can feel a little eerie—which honestly adds to the experience but is something to be aware of. Overall, this was a super interesting, well-run, and memorable tour, and Betina truly makes it special. If you’re in London and curious about the history of Jack the Ripper, I strongly recommend this tour. It’s engaging, informative, and a great way to experience a different side of London’s history.
