What is the DMZ – an exciting experience like no other
While the Cold War happened a long time ago, Korea is the only country that still remains divided as a consequence. The DMZ lies on the border between the North and the South. This is the most heavily fortified border in the whole world, so don’t miss the chance to see it!
OPTIONAL : Gondonla
Gondola tour is one of our most popular DMZ tours and can also be an excellent alternative to our DMZ Tour when political or military events restrict access to some of the stops on those tours.
OPTIONAL : Red Suspension Bridge
The Gamaksan Red Suspension Bridge is the longest suspension bridge in Korea at 220m long and 1.5m wide. It can hold up to 900 adults and is constructed to withstand 30 meters per second winds and earthquakes of up to 7 magnitude. Its stunning scenic views make it the perfect spot to capture beautiful photos, and it is always well-received.

We offer three convenient meeting points in downtown Seoul. These are Myeongdong Subway Station (Exit 9), Seoul City Hall Subway Station (Exit 6), and Hongdae Subway Station (Exit 3). Here you can meet your lovely tour guide and our comfortable DMZ tour bus. Please aim to arrive around 10-15 minutes early, in case of any delays, and to ensure you find your way to the meeting point on time.
DMZ

We got picked up at 7am by a full size tour bus with no washroom at the agreed upon location. Tour Guide was spectacular !! In total we likely walked 6.5 - 7.0 kilometers to see all the sites at each stop and at the suspension bridge it was a 75 meter steep elevation gain and another 75 meter down in and out of the tunnel. If you are not fit beware these two stops are difficult. This tour was definitely worth the spend with how much we saw. Stop 1 was the Suspension Bridge where you hike about 1 km and 75 meter gain into the forest to see the bridge. Stop 2 was at Nuri Park where you can take the Gondola across the Imjin River for an extra fee if not booked as part of your tour. Without the Gondola there is the wooden bridge, a relic train engine and a few monuments to see. Stop 3 - we headed into the DMZ zone via the Unification Bridge and over to the Third Infiltration Tunnel where we hiked down into the tunnel and got about 170 meters from the North Korea border. There is also a cool museum to walk through and some photos ops hidden behind the buildings. Stop 4 - was just around the corner at the North Korea viewing platform where absolutely no pictures are allowed to the North. They supplied mounted binoculars and we were able to spot some North Koreans bicycling along a few roads. Stop 5 - was around 2pm at a restaurant where you could purchase a 13,000 W buffet and use the restroom. The food was pretty good and there was a souvenir shop next door. Stop 6 - was in Seoul at approx 4pm

This was a great experience. I am afraid to admit that my western education left me with lots to learn about the Korean War and its aftermath. Our guide, Emily, was welcoming and friendly and extremely knowledgeable about everything dealing with the DMZ. I especially enjoyed the first hand experiences she shared about her grandparents. Our tour visited the Gamaksan Chulleong Bridge, which was beautiful and i highly recommend it. The gondola is probably not worth doing as it does not really show much more and it takes time away from visiting the other monuments at Imjingak Park.

Great tour to the DMZ with Nancy <3….. she had provided us with so much information about not only the history of the Korean War but many stories regarding the people and the challenges and suffering that occurred and how things have evolved between No and South Korea all the way up to today. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend, Team Nancy 4 life !!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a wonderful day tour with Hana. She was very friendly and informative. The sites we visited were all very interesting and the stories Hana told us about her family and the plight of the Koreans were very moving. It is clear the South Koreans yearn for peace and reunification. We found the trip very educational and it is an experience we will always remember.

The tour was extremely well organised and ran exactly on schedule from start to finish. The bus was in excellent condition and very comfortable. The itinerary covered all the key sites, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our guide, Lina, was friendly, well organised and very helpful. She provided a clear and informative overview of the history of the war, how the Korean Peninsula was divided, and how the DMZ was formed and remains active to this day. At each stop, she gave detailed explanations and demonstrated an excellent command of English. She also thoughtfully recommended the best photo spots and even helped guests take photos. I highly recommend this tour, and I would like to extend my sincere thanks to both Lina and our driver for making it such an enjoyable day.
