What is the DMZ – an exciting experience like no other
While the Cold War happened a long time ago, Korea is the only country that still remains divided as a consequence. The DMZ lies on the border between the North and the South. This is the most heavily fortified border in the whole world, so don’t miss the chance to see it!
OPTIONAL : Gondonla
Gondola tour is one of our most popular DMZ tours and can also be an excellent alternative to our DMZ Tour when political or military events restrict access to some of the stops on those tours.
OPTIONAL : Red Suspension Bridge
The Gamaksan Red Suspension Bridge is the longest suspension bridge in Korea at 220m long and 1.5m wide. It can hold up to 900 adults and is constructed to withstand 30 meters per second winds and earthquakes of up to 7 magnitude. Its stunning scenic views make it the perfect spot to capture beautiful photos, and it is always well-received.

We offer three convenient meeting points in downtown Seoul. These are Myeongdong Subway Station (Exit 9), Seoul City Hall Subway Station (Exit 6), and Hongdae Subway Station (Exit 3). Here you can meet your lovely tour guide and our comfortable DMZ tour bus. Please aim to arrive around 10-15 minutes early, in case of any delays, and to ensure you find your way to the meeting point on time.
DMZ
Dive into the Korean Demilitarized Zone, a 4 km-wide strip splitting North and South since 1953. Hear the eerie quiet as gravel crunches underfoot. See barbed wire gleam and feel the Cold War’s lingering tension. Your guide shares tales of defectors and secret tunnels, sending chills down your spine. Peer through binoculars at North Korea’s propaganda villages, their mystery gripping you. This DMZ tour from Seoul blends history and intrigue, offering a front-row seat to a divided world. It’s an unforgettable journey into Korea’s heart.

Great tour with Gogo. Very informative, kept the group moving and stayed on time. He was great at taking photos of us too! Started with a brisk hike to the suspension bridge. Fresh air and views up there. We skipped the tunnel and just took photos around the area instead. Observatory was the best. Saw North Korea on a very clear day! (No photos allowed up there because the recent poop balloon incidents) but it was worth going to. Bought some ginseng whiskey at the end from some DMZ locals.

Crystal was an excellent tour guide, and the experience was both informative and engaging. She provided detailed insights into the history of North and South Korea while pointing out important sites and explaining what to observe at each location. She also clearly communicated what to expect throughout the tour, including the policies and guidelines at each stop, which helped everything run smoothly. Crystal was always approachable and ready to answer any questions we had. Overall, we had a very positive experience and learned a great deal from the tour.

We only had a few days in Seoul on our first trip to South Korea and debated whether we should do this tour. We are happy we booked it. Alice was a very good guide and we were satisfied with the itinerary. We opted to add the visit to the red suspension bridge, which was worth it in our opinion despite the large crowds and drizzly weather. Over the day, we most enjoyed walking the tunnel and learning about the history of the DMZ. Alice also provided a lot of helpful commentary while traveling between stops, not just about the DMZ but Korea in general. Our your adult children also seemed to enjoy the day more than we expected as they’re hard to please. Definitely a tour that we recommend if you’re in Seoul for at least a few days.

Excellent trip with Gogo. Explained Korean History from WWIi to Cold War and the Civil War. Very informative- describing way of life, including agriculture, farming etc. Described our stops well. Very professionally delivered. Easy to understand and articulate. Is clearly passionate about his country and all Korean people. Thank-you!
