Our inflatable rafting vessels are modeled after Coast Guard rescue rafts and are safe, extremely agile providing the best platform to experience whales and have a fun ride. Our vessel allows you to be close to the ocean surface. Giving you the feeling of being with the whales in there natural environment. From this vantage point photography captures a unique perspective of looking up at the animals when they breach the surface. Our Captains are trained to find the most surface active, diverse behaviors and best photo scenarios.
All trips from December – April are guaranteed to see whales or you go again for FREE!
We are locally owned and operated since 1982 and every ticket supports our participation in marine research projects and our role as certified first responders to whale entanglements.

Our small group Whale Watching tour is our most popular whale watching tour on Maui. Our fast and safe rafting vessels are low to the water and perfect for close encounters and small groups making every seat a front row seat! Listen to whale songs on our hydrophone and don’t forget your camera for epic photos of our humpback whale friends! There are two options 1.5 hour and 2 gour, please select the tour you are wanting.

Because we are eco-friendly, purified water is available in an igloo style dispenser, not plastic water bottles.

5.00We took the VIP tour and saw five whales in a group. They kept moving and we had to follow them from place to place. Jill and Lauren were good, experienced, guides. Would definitely go again.

5.00You will get wet, dress appropriately. If you want to protect and have your cell phone protected, get one of those pouches that covers your phone while at the same time you can use it.

5.00This was the most amazing experience!!! Lacey was the best boat captain ever. She had us exactly where we needed to be and kept the boat as smooth as possible. Lily was very knowledgeable and had next level energy. This is a must do!!! Encounter of a lifetime.

5.00We saw so many humpbacks and several pairs and two separate groups of 4. Obviously 3 males pursuing 1 female but they were breaching, flapping their diesel fin and so many tail motions. It was incredible.

5.00We loved this experience! Sunrise on a small boat with beautiful views and several whale sightings, even early in the season. Funny, knowledgeable crew and easily the best whale watching we’ve done (after Alaska and Depoe Bay, Oregon). We’ll definitely book again next time we’re in Maui!

5.00Going on a whale watch with the ultimate whale watch company is an experience you’ll want to repeat. Don’t just go once! Go several times on your vacation. You’ll thank me later. Jill and Lily were both excellent. Jill was the captain and Lily was the naturalist. They worked closely together to give us the information we needed to understand what we were seeing and their navigation of the boat was excellent to allow us the best views.
