Watarrka National Park
The main attraction of Watarrka is undoubtedly Kings Canyon – a humungous gorge enclosed by sheer rock walls hundreds of metres high. Offering a welcome escape from the dry desert heat, this site’s deep gullies and hidden rockpools provide shelter to more than 600 species of native plants and animals. Your guide will point these out on a guided trek that takes in the canyon’s most famous sites – the Lost City, Garden of Eden, Amphitheatre and North and South Walls. It was an amazing experience. Truly a must if you are in Australia. Everything is incredibly well organized and planned. The transport was also perfectly arranged and we walked beautiful long stretches. It has a nice, friendly atmosphere. And an extra thank you to Captain Vegemite! An experience never to be forgotten.

The trip was beyond my expectations, such an experience. Captain Vegemite out your guide went above and beyond for our group, from providing us with amazing facts about the red centre to making sure we were warm and fed. Such a special experience. Amazing.

A good and fun experience out in the wild outback. Good accommodations, more luxury than expected. Colder this time of year.

An incredible experience in a truly amazing place. Our guide Captain Vegemite (Wayne) was super knowledgable and was a great storyteller really bringing to life the spirit of Uluru and surrounding areas. The trip was well curated and felt looked after from start to finish. Would really recommend booking with adventure tours!

I had a great time. Tour was well planned and whilst Uluru was great, the King’s Canyon ridge walk was a real highlight. Highly recommend!

Disaster - beware: Things are promised that are not kept! Since there was no sunset visible due to clouds, the whole group had been looking forward to the sunrise, but the tour guide had refused to go to the viewpoint and preferred to go to the next point on the tour. On the second evening there was 1 kg rice (with chicken) for 22 participants, we definitely went to bed hungry. And the tour guide read that we had "lost" part of the group (with older people) during a hike. Not to think if something had happened to these people in the heat. On the day of departure we drove three hours in the opposite direction to meet another tour guide who had taken us to Alice Springs, so the journey took more than 6 hours! I don't expect a luxury experience in the outback, but if I promise things on the website, that should also be respected and for the high price you definitely get NO corresponding performance! I contacted the company but don't care about our bad experiences Adventure Tours, definitely my worst experience on the entire trip to Australia My conclusion: Never again with this provider!

This was an outstanding trip, incredibly well organised and the perfect amount of activity and education! Our tour guide, Alex, was awesome! He was super knowledgeable about each and every part of the tour and made the experience truly exceptional. The swag camping and sleeping under the stars is definitely the way to go! We would 100% recommend this trip to anyone considering visiting Uluru.
