Starving Artist Moncton
Our tour starts on the banks of the Petitcodiac River, a site of refuge and commerce for thousands of years. Learn how the Mi'kmaq explained the river's unique muddy waters, early settlers built a thriving shipbuilding industry along its banks, and today's community is working to restore the waterway to its previous glory.
Stories of Acadian poets, Spanish muralists, shipbuilders, railroad bosses, bootleggers and many more bring the historic heart of the city.

We were visiting from Montreal and this was the perfect addition to our visit. The tour's delightful mix of history, anecdotes, and delicious food and drinks made the afternoon fly by. We were able to see the city in a richer, more detailed way than would have been possible on our own. By the end, I felt an increased connection with the city, which surprised me as I previously lived there for many years. I would highly recommend Mark's tour to anyone passing through Moncton!
