Urbino is a delightful city, and is considered the cradle of the Renaissance. You should park outside the city (for a fee) and then explore the narrow streets and squares, the shops and the restaurants. In the evening, Italian life takes place outside.

Always an unmissable stop on the grand tour of the Italian Renaissance. The palace is exceptional, the gallery is exceptional, the town is splendid. We thank for eternity the scarred duke-leader who gave us, forever, so much beauty!

Urbino a pleasant surprise. It is one of the most important centers of the Italian Renaissance, of which it still preserves its architectural heritage; since 1998 its historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is home to one of the oldest and most important universities in Europe, founded in 1506. Nice entrance where there is also a botanical garden [rare to see it im.una città]. Clean and well-kept city, I have not seen vacant premises. Beautiful porches the stone. Not to mention Palazzo Ducale, a wonderful place in the heart of the city. There are works by Piero della Francesca and something about the life of Federico da Montefeltro. I would have expected a few more works by Raphael. Still worth seeing. TOP

Urbino has been on our list of places to visit in Italy for many years. When we finally made it, it did not disappoint. We had the added benefit of a delightful and well-informed guide to the Ducal Palace and the Oratorio di San Giovanni, Cecilia Sanchini, who we are happy to recommend also.

A truly unique visit to the Doge's Palace, with its panorama and photographic views. Little taken care of tourist information. The bars and refreshment points crowded with people, with tables on the streets open to motor vehicle traffic.

An impressive building, full of history and art. Guide was very informative and inside was more the you expected with artworks and masonry. You can learn a lot about Renaissance history and the Montefeltro family.
