Loved every part of this experience. The history, the realization of sacrifice from our military, and mostly how impressive the Battleship and submarine are. USA!

Excellent experience for my family. I would love to come back and experience a guided tour with a veteran. That would make this really special.

Great family experience for all ages. Explore as little or as long as you want. Large variety of planes and military equipment as well as the ship and submarine. Congratulations to the citizens of Alabama who had the foresight to create this educational memorial instead of letting this ship be scrapped as many others were.

The Memorial Park is well laid out and well curated. My sons, 19 and 21, loved climbing all over the ship and submarine. Just interactive enough for them to really enjoy the visit.

Wow! What a fantastic experience and workout. So many reviews have been very positive. I’ll touch on things that caught my attention: You can tour all 12 decks, but if you make the climb all the way to the bridge, know it’s blocked off with plexiglass. I’m older and overweight, but I was able to navigate the stairs well and did take occasional breaks in the officers' mess, which had chairs, couches, water, and restrooms. I would recommend spending all day to see all the memorial park has to offer (USS Alabama, Drum, the hangar, and the outdoor park. They give you an armband so you can leave to get lunch and return, since the on-site restaurant has average ratings. It’s A LOT of walking, climbing, and bending, and you will be sore the next day, but the soreness is well worth it to see the artifacts and history in this wonderful memorial park.

Allow yourself enough time to see it all. It takes more time than one thinks. It’s a fabulous and interesting venue for Mobile!

My father and I visited this battleship complex in 2008. I recently took my mother to this site. There was the big battleship, a submarine, a hall of large airplanes, and an assortment of airplanes and memorials throughout this large property. The staff was friendly, and there was a lot of content to see. There was a parking fee in addition to the admission fee. Downtown Mobile and Interstate-10 were close to this area. I would advise for people to wear insect repellent, closed-toed shoes, and sunscreen. Taller people may need to use caution in order to not get hurt on the lower clearances. There were many stairs and passages that were tougher to use for those people with the mobility problems. I extend my thanks to all of those who have served in the military, especially to my father.

A beautiful battle ship with so much history. You can feel the history as you walk throughout the ship. It is hard to put into words unless your go and visit for yourself. Highly recommended.

We had a great day in this place full of history. The self-guided tour of the boat is really well done! (double page to be collected at the entrance of the boat). The submarine is also impressive, not to mention the multitude of other land, air and sea vehicles present at the site.
