Hangar Deck and Flight Deck tour routes will showcase Midway’s exclusive collection of more than 30 restored Navy aircraft and the incredible views of San Diego Bay.

Parking is available adjacent to Midway for an additional fee through Ace parking.
HOURS ARE 10AM TO 5PM HOWEVER LAST ADMISSION IS 4PM.

MUSEUM HOURS 10:00 - 17:00 (LAST ENTRY AT 16:00)The USS Midway was the US Navy's longest serving carrier of the 20th century (1945-1992), and the largest ship in the world for a decade, housing 4,500 crew! Now you can walk in the footsteps of 225,000 sailors on a self-guided audio tour narrated by former Midway sailors and officers. USS Midway also contains interactive exhibits and climb-aboard aircraft for all ages. Don't miss the flight simulators, gift shop and cafe. Experience what it was like to be part of a "city at sea", explore galleys, officer's country, sleeping quarters and the engine room of the first Navy ship too large for the Panama Canal! You will be amazed by the 4-acre flight deck and the 360-degree panoramic view of downtown San Diego.

5.00Go! You will enjoy this tour. It is a truly patriotic experience to see this aircraft carrier along with assorted planes and helicopters,which make you proud of American know-how and resolve. A timely experience in this our 250th year as a nation!

5.00We read that we should go early and immediately go to the Tower/Island tour, as it can fill up quickly. You get to go up to the Captains “nest” and see how the aircraft carrier is actually steered and all the amazing flight deck operations are coordinated. Then went to the flight deck to talk to all the volunteers who actually served on the carrier, while checking out the plethora of jets, helicopters and other support craft that are used. Then we went to the lowest areas of the ship to check out the inner workings ie kitchens, sleeping quarters, laundry areas etc. Then we checked out the middle/hanger area to see a movie and more airplanes. The bathrooms are located on the top two decks, so plan accordingly before going below deck. We were moving at a casual pace to see everything and burned up 5 hours. Also, be aware that there are a lot of steep stairs/ladders if you want to see all the areas.

5.00Great experience! Ships are very interesting and I learned a lot. You can see as much or as little as you choose. It was very meaningful for me since my Dad was a sailor.

5.00This was a great experience we were there like 6 hours went to every level of the ship even the tower. the tickets were a little expensive but so worth it. it is so big even though there were lots of people it did not feel crowded. So much history. There are volunteers that tell stories and talk and explain everything. it was so worth it.

5.00Excellent tour guides, especially for the command tower. Also, the “Yellow Hats” (veterans) were great to talk to, with many having served on the USS Midway. Excellent self guided tour as well, and I was amazed by the Battle of Midway. Lots of walking and stairs.
