There is no flash photography allowed on this tour, and all photography is forbidden inside the Sistine Chapel.
Please be aware that the Sistine Chapel is a Holy Place and talking during your visit inside is strictly forbidden, therefore your guide will give you an explanation of the Sistine Chapel beforehand during your tour, in order to give you a comprehensive explanation before entering the chapel.

Sistine Chapel
Of course this wonderful Vatican tour includes access to the incredible Sistine Chapel. Although it is true there is something to be said for the early morning light in the Sistine Chapel, we believe there is even more to be said about its magical evening glow. Rome is famous for its “golden hour” which is that fleeting, enchanted moment just before dusk when the city seems to turn to Pure Gold. From January 12 through March 31, the Vatican Museums will be carrying out special conservation work on Michelangelo’s Last Judgment inside the Sistine Chapel. During this time, a scaffolding structure will cover the entire Last Judgment wall. The Sistine Chapel will remain open and fully accessible, but this specific artwork will not be visible during the restoration period. Thank you for your understanding as this masterpiece receives important care.

5.00Our tour guide Giovanni was exceptional. He knew exactly where to go and exactly what to show us. Our narration of the tour was top-notch. Giovanni is certainly an art expert with a great appreciation for the unique and rare pieces in the Vatican. This was my third time doing a tour of the Vatican museums, and I saw things that I never saw before and I learned so much. He paid great attention to all members of our family, including my teenage daughter and knew the exact spots to take family pictures and even asked for our phone to do it in the perfect spots. This is one of the best tours I’ve ever been on.

5.00I can not say enough amazing things about our guide, Leonardo! He is a phD and an archeologist with so much knowledge and passion for the Vatican. He was absolutely wonderful. I will say... the title of this tour is somewhat misleading. The normal crowds were still there and you dont get any time after hours in the Vatican. You are just there near close which honestly did cast beautiful golden light throughout. I still very highly recommend this tour as it was very high quality and the guide was so great.
The best guide visit ever done!!! In a difficult place.....

5.00Our visit was excellent. In just three hours, Barbara managed to show us everything that could reasonably be seen during a first visit to the Vatican Museums. She is an amazing person, full of energy, and she guided us through the vast collections with remarkable skill and efficiency, always providing clear and insightful explanations. What impressed us most was not only her ability to navigate the museums and make the best use of our limited time, but also the breadth of her knowledge. We arrived well prepared, with a genuine interest in art and history, and we asked many questions throughout the tour. Barbara was able to answer every one of them with confidence and depth. Of course, in three hours it is only possible to see the major masterpieces. To explore the Vatican Museums in the detail that they deserve, especially for visitors with a strong interest in art, one would need at least a week. Given this reality, Barbara did an outstanding job of selecting the highlights and putting them into context. She is highly professional, knowledgeable, engaging, and exceptionally well organized.
