Please be aware that access to the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica is subject to Vatican regulations and ceremonies. The Vatican Museums or the Basilica may decide to close these sites on short notice due to official events or religious proceedings. In the event of any unexpected developments, we are unable to foresee or control these closures in advance. However, your ticket will still grant you access to the Vatican Museums.
Visitors with a certified disability of more than 76% do not require a ticket.
It is not possible to join the tour with a stroller unless it is foldable.
Please note: Michelangelo’s “The Last Judgment” on the altar wall of the Sistine Chapel is scheduled for an extraordinary maintenance and conservation intervention starting in January 2026, with scaffolding covering the wall for several months. Although the chapel remains open to visitors, the scaffolding will partially obscure the fresco during this period.

5.00Frederico was the best guide ever. He’s an archaeologist and has amazing info about the Vatican museum exhibits, Sistine chapel and the Basilica church. We had many tours during our Italy trip and Fred was the best. His English was great and he shared so much info. We learned a lot of history and art. Our 15. 17, and 20 year olds stayed interested. Call the agency and ask to do a tour with Fred.

5.00This was one of the best guided tours I’ve ever taken, and that was entirely due to Nadia, our guide. At several points, I genuinely felt like I was touring the Vatican with ChatGPT—except Nadia was better. She was astonishingly well-versed and seemed to know every detail about every object in the Vatican Museums, yet never once slipped into the pedantic trap that so many guides fall into. Her delivery was engaging, confident, and perfectly calibrated: exactly what you wanted to know, when you wanted to know it. She welcomed questions and answered every one clearly and thoughtfully, without derailing the flow of the tour or turning it into a lecture. As for the setting, the Vatican Museums are a treasure trove, and the Sistine Chapel is, well, the Sistine Chapel. No review needs to explain that. What made this experience exceptional was having a guide who elevated the art rather than competing with it. If you can tour the Vatican with Nadia, do it. Everything else is just sightseeing.

5.00Best tour guide (Nadya)! I work in the industry myself and I see a lot of tour guides but she was one of the best I’ve came across. She covers a lot of topics in a quick manner. Her group is her focus and making sure you get through the crowds. 5 stars nadya!
