Our tour guide was Massimo. He really made the tour interesting. He is full of character and was very funny. He made us laugh a lot. He showed us some interesting sides of the Vatican you would not see if you booked it yourself and if did a self guided tour. A small group tour is good because it means you don’t need to wear headphones. I would highly recommend this tour and you will really enjoy it if you get Massimo as your guide.

Our tour, hosted by Rich, was excellent! He provided us great history, insights, and context throughout all three sites within the visit. While he spoke with great authority and passion on the topics, buildings, and artwork, he also ensured it was an interactive experience - much appreciated! Though I will say the tour itself was shorter than promoted... and THAT WAS OUR FAULT. We ran late, so Rich and the team feverishly communicated with me as the clock ticked down to us missing our time slot. That really helped us decide to jog past the crawling cars, arriving within one minute of possible cancellation. Thanks very much, You Local - Rome!

This small semi private had a total of 4 people and was very informative. The guide was prepared with books and photos on his tablet to explain all we would see while in the chapel. It was over 3 hours and if you want to stay longer in the basilica of Saint Peter you can. We attended one of the masses that I believe they have every hour in different parts of the church. I would highly recommend the semi private tour. You will not be able to se everything as that is impossible you will see as much as possible and have it all explained. Tour guides also have quicker asses through the tour. 10/10

It’s a lot of walking. If the tour is 3 you will probably wall 4-5. The Vatican has stairs. Don’t eat around St Peter’s square or the Vatican go one or two blocks off for better food and prices.
