Sistine Chapel
Following your guide Eenter the Sistine Chapel and marvel at the intricate fresco that covers the entire ceiling and walls. Painted by Michaelangelo between 1508 and 1512, the Sistine Chapel represents a cornerstone work of High Renaissance art. From the Creation of Adam to the Last Judgement, Michelangelo dedicated some of his greatest years to the Sistine Chapel, working day and night – even sleeping in the chapel – to satisfy the popes of Rome. The artist also expressed his frustration through hidden meanings in his work, which have since been uncovered and deciphered. Listen as your guide lets you in on Michelangelo's private jokes.

The tour was great! My only complaint is that these tours over book and everywhere is extremely crowded. Almost 100degree weather and you are rubbing up against strangers that are just as much sweaty as you! Not a comfortable feeling. Tour companies should put a limit on the number of people per tour.

Our tour guide did not speak english very well and that really impacted our experience. We had so many wonderful tours on our trip but this one was definitely our least favorite. Hard to understand, tons of nonessential information and talked entirely too much. Overwhelming and long.

St Basilica visit was cancelled on the previous evening (visit of 04/03/2025 cancelled by operator on 03/03/2025). 2. I could not get REWARD points worth £6.50 deducted/redeemed when I booked the next tour of Colloseum even though I tried while booking. Please do not select this tour operator.
