4.00Booked onto this tour to avoid the big queues getting in, but once we were inside we were very glad we were with an experienced guide who knew where they were going! The Vatican Museums are very busy so it was reassuring just to have someone to follow. Our guide Philomena was very knowledgeable about the history of the museums and Vatican City in general and told us a lot about the buildings and the people involved as well as the art and sculpture we were looking at.

5.00Magical! Overwhelming in the best way. Be ready to walk to get that the Sistine Chapel. But make sore you don’t skip that. I wasn’t expecting to be as overwhelmed by this as I was but it was absolutely unreal. I barely took took pictured because they will not do it justice. To embrace the history is a must. I suggest reading a bit BEFORE you walk this to have even more appreciation.

1.00this was supposed to be a 3 hr tour with basilica access, no lines. we waited in line for 40 minutes, tour only lated an hour, no access to basilica. tried to complain and get a partial refund but never had a response. tour guide talked so fast and walked so fast the group could not keep up. tour was a waste of time and money and was super expensive.
Do not but unless you want to be scammed. Read other one star reviews, they are true.

1.00Do not buy this tour. I feel scammed. Read all one star review. It is the first and only bad experience I have ever had with Viator, but this tour should be banned from the app. This happened to us March 13, 2026. We were a group of three. In summary, the same ticket you can buy for €40 per person, they sell it to you for almost double. They changed our time, which was scheduled in advance, the day before. I had to ask and insist on new tickets. They would still say there would be a “Tour of Rome” guide tour inside. That person never showed up. Save 50% by just not buying the tour.

4.00We booked this 2-hour tour as a family with children (ages 8 and 12), thinking the shorter duration would be perfect for their attention spans. While the tour was exceptionally well-organized—with a clear meeting point and a much-appreciated skip-the-line entry—the delivery was a bit of a mismatch. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, but she spoke too quickly and delved into complex details that were difficult for the children to follow. It’s a great tour for history buffs, but could be adjusted to better engage the younger audience members who made up half our group.

1.00The tour operator cancelled the guided tour two days before and only offered either a full refund or 15% Refund if they provided the skip the line only tickets to the vatican museum but not St. peter’s Basilica as originally included. Very disappointed in this company and would not use them again. We should receive a much larger refund for only getting tickets to the Vatican museum and Sistine Chapel
