1.00We booked a shared water taxi transfer from Venice to the airport, scheduled for 9:20 AM. Unfortunately, the operator never showed up. By 9:40 AM, with no update or communication and a flight to catch, we were forced to arrange last-minute transport ourselves. Given Venice’s unique layout and our location off the mainland, transport options were extremely limited. We had no choice but to hire a private water taxi at a cost of €140 — a significant and unexpected expense. The service was chosen for its affordability and convenience, but it ultimately caused unnecessary stress and disruption to our travel plans. Viator refunded the original amount, but directed us to the operator for any further compensation. Very disappointing experience. This level of unreliability and lack of communication is unacceptable, especially when airport transfers are time-sensitive. I would not recommend this operator.
