Inside St Mark’s Basilica, admire treasured mosaics and a Byzantine altarpiece, and then follow your guide into the crypt where St Mark himself is believed to rest.

Upgrade for late access to the Doge’s Palace by selecting the upgrade option at time of booking. With this option learn about the Higher Council Hall, the Doge's apartments, and the Bridge of Sighs as you explore.

Please note that there may be a break of up to 1 hour between your Doge’s Palace tour and your exclusive After Hour Visit, due to temporary earlier closing time at the Doge’s Palace. Your guide in this case will provide bar/restaurant recommendations

Due to the religious nature of the Basilica, all individuals regardless of gender must cover their shoulders and knees. A scarf or shawl is acceptable. Walks cannot be held responsible for those denied entry.

No refund will be provided if high tide prevents certain parts of the tour, but adjustments to the route will be made for client safety and comfort.

If access is restricted due to private events inside St. Mark's Basilica and/or Doge's Palace, we cannot be held responsible. This is a situation beyond our control. No refund will be issued.

This was truly a highlight to my trip. Being able to see the Doge's palace and St. Mark's Basillica at night was astounding. And to get a tour guide who provides more details and can answer questions directly and specifically was the icing on the cake. Iole was so lovely! And a great storyteller. I highly recommend this tour!

The best way to tour the Doge's palace and saint Mark's. No crowds, just your group touring through beautiful rooms with a guide - in our case, Yole was an excellent guide, energetic and knowledgeable.

This is a fabulous tour. Our guide, Roberta C. was full of fantastic information. She gave us an appreciation for the work, the historical context and the uniqueness of these two buildings, which was extremely interesting. Her passion for history, art and especially her home city brought this tour to another level. Her delivery of information was easy to understand- for foreigners and children- yet with enough depth to really give us an insight and understanding of these buildings, as well as Venice and its place in the world at certain times in history. The tour took us into the Doges palace - which was completely empty - amazing! Then we went into the basilica, which was also empty. We were immersed in total darkness and then the ceiling was lit up. It was an overwhelming experience. I recommend it with all my heart!
