Follow the guide, your local insider, and stroll through the old town to discover the most beautiful places of the city. Discover the squares of the city, stopping to admire, from the outside, the most important monuments. See the medieval Castelvecchio and its Scaligero Bridge, the Gavi's arch and learn about the ancient Roman past of the city.
After a short walk you'll reach Piazza Bra and the Arena amphitheater, one of the symbols of the city, famous for the Opera season. Listen to stories and curiosities about the Roman structure of the city and see the ruins still well preserved.
Pass by Porta Borsari until the famous Piazza delle Erbe, the ancient Roman forum. Admire the frescoes of the palaces, the local market and Torre dei Lamberti. On the shade of the tower there's a beautiful square: Piazza dei Signori, where you'll see the statue of Dante Alighieri, world-famous Italian poet.
Finally you'll listen legends and tales about Romeo and Juliet and see the romantic balcony.

It connects the Verona’s late-medieval castle to the Adige’s left bank. It was almost destroyed in a bombing and later fully rebuilt looking precisely similar to the original one.

Extremely enjoyable walking tour of Verona. We appreciated learning the history of the city and visiting places we would not have found on our own.

Solid overview of Roman and 1300 history of the history and a bit of architecture. A bit lean of depth of knowledge compared to other tours. The guide was very popular with several local friends along the route which was fine but would have preferred more information about Verona…population, university, business, etc. I was also surprised she wasn’t supporting museums along the way to visit.

There was a lot of walking on the tour but it wasn’t difficult. Our tour guide was excellent and really made the tour fun and educational.

You need to be able to walk somewhat quickly. The tour provides a lot of information about Verona through the years. It also provides information about what to look for. I would recommend taking this tour as a way to get started in Verona.

Really appreciated the quick, though thorough picurebook run through Verona’s history. This allowed us to understand the importance of the streets we would soon be walking on. Very good interaction with the group and including all members and even running out to find a missing one (me) when things got crowded. Calm diffusion of a conflict with one of Verona’s more colorful characters was also masterful. Looking forward to our next tour led by Francesco!!
