3.00We were very excited to have hired a private historian to guide us through the grounds and the palace. We had an incredible experience before with a tour of Normandy and our expectations were very high. Our guide was nice, but lazy and did not seem interested in giving much information and history about this amazing place. If I were to do it again, I would get the golf cart for the grounds and get the ear pieces with the recorded history explaining the many facets of this place and not waste my money on a guide who really was tired and not wanting to give the history or didn't really know it. I feel like the only advantage to being with a guide was the fact we did not have to wait in the very long lines. Maybe a different guide would be a better choice.

5.00Our guide Manny was amazing. He was thoroughly engaged and informative. The garden tour was better than expected, without the golf cart we would have missed seeing so much. The palace didn’t disappoint especially with all the history that Manny told us we were blown away.

5.00Alex our funny, brilliant, and kind to our guide really made the whole experience come to life. He is the ability to bring history off of the pages of paper and and bring it to life.. The whole felt very special from the private tour of the garden, she’s stepping through the beautiful rooms and history of Versailles.. but what truly makes the stand apart versus any other tour you could take in Versailles was Alex. He’s an encyclopedia of information and has the ability to interweave the facts, the people, and timeline that truly brings his history to life. It was so engaging and fun. I would love to have Alex give us a tour any other place on the planet. But most of all he was very kind to my 79-year-old mother. He made sure that accessibility was not a barrier for her to have an amazing day. Even stayed with us longer to ensure that she could get into the taxi and.
