Fantastic experience from start to finish. The guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the city’s history feel really interesting and accessible. The pace was relaxed, the route was beautiful, and we discovered several places we never would have found on our own. Highly recommend for both visitors and locals wanting to see the city in a new way.

Just got back from a really great "Bites and Sights" tour. Mike, our tour guide was fantastic! His knowledge, friendliness and genuine love for the city of Victoria made for a wonderful evening. The food and drink stops were great ( personal fabourite, the Poutine) and the information was interesting and engaging. Big thanks to Mike and to Emily who helped arrange this tour for our group when our cruise ship arranged tour was fully booked!

Julie was a very informed guide- she was chock full of information wherever we went. Particularly enjoyed the water taxi ride to Chinatown. Wonderful stop at The Drake where we had several delicious sips & new tastes!

I just want to give it 5 stars. Why won’t you let me simply rate it? Why must I write something. You’re eliminating so many ratings by this requirement.

On this tour as Victoria was the last but one stop on our West Coast cruise. As with other stops we looked out for a company to show us around. Our walk from the cruise terminal to the meeting point at the Empress Hotel was an easy 20-25 minutes. The tour lasted around 3 hours. Started with the harbour boat taxi that took us to the edge of Chinatown, then meandered through Chinatown, a few other streets, a stop for a snack and local beer, another stop for prawns and a shaft (drink) where we waited a long time to be served and all ended up in our phones, and then a piece of chocolate from a local business. It was all OK but a little slow paced and not necessarily that full of facts. Or perhaps it was and we’d just been more engrossed in previous tours in much less developed locations on route.

Dave has a unique insight to the Victoria area and has lived and breathed Chinatown where the tour focuses on during the first half. He rang ahead to the eateries and Bars so we never had to wait for a table. He gave his own perspective and recommendations which had we had more time would have given us the inside track. Can highly recommend the tasters we sampled, especially the Shrimp…and the focaccia…and the Cider…everything was amazing. To round things off we ended up in Chocoholic heaven…with another taster to end the tour.
