The panoramic view over Vienna is absolutely magical, and the Danube looks especially impressive from above. The slide is a must-try experience — fun and a bit thrilling. If you can, reserve a table at the café or restaurant; even enjoying just a coffee up there makes the visit feel special. A memorable stop in the city.

Staff were very kind and informative. Great viewpoint, and nice cocktails. VERY overpriced though. It was €18 just for entry to the view point, then extra for food/drinks, and for the slide (€5). It’s not very central either so you need to get the train, and walk 15/20 mins.

It’s sad to see the degradation of Austrian culture. I visited the Donauturm 35, 30 and 20 years ago – each time with my dog. I’ve just learned that for the past ten years, “dogs have been banned on the Donauturm.” No doubt, thanks to the "new influencers” who are devouring what’s left of Viennese culture. Long ago, Croats protected you from them in Sisak – this time, you’ve let yourselves be culturally conquered. If you keep going this way, dear Wien, soon the famous grilled Stelze will be made of pigeon instead of pork, because it might “offend” someone’s quasi-culture. By the way – this is pure robbery. They sell you an entrance ticket for about 40 euros, even though upstairs in the café they tell you it’s closed, the slide is closed, the shop is closed – but the parking still has to be paid for. Better to throw your money into the Danube over your right shoulder and make a wish.

We took a trip to the tower on the dullest day of our break in Vienna. Decided to walk there, appx 75 mins from the bustling At Stephensplatz. The sheer size of the tower is impressive as you approach. Quick QR scan and you're awaiting the lift to take you up to the observation deck. If the weather had been better, I'm sure our views would have been better and it wouldn't have felt so cold. Worth doing all the same. Then we had a refreshment at the rotating cafe, getting more views in warmth and comfort. The tower is within a park, take time out to wander the park. It's quirky, well maintained and worth exploring.

This attraction is a little off the beaten track. In hindsight, we went out of our way to see it. But it is as definitely worth visiting. You can see for miles.

I write live from the tower. Definitely not cheap but deserves. After the climb we stopped at the bar to have an aperitif. Friendly staff, spectacular view. Why didn't I give the 5 stars? The elevator attendant expressed his disappointment with words, gestures and facial expression, as, since there was only one free seat to get on, both we, and subsequent families waiting, preferred to wait for the next ride. Absolute lack of education and respect for those who pay a ticket, then his salary and maybe, like me, understands German. Too bad.

During our visit on a Sunday, the cafe was closed and the restaurant prebooking only. Great view, but facilities disappointing.

Amazing view, such a spectacular view. An outside viewing platform, and a rotating cafe. We had a fantastic time don’t miss

Paid the €19.90 entrance fee and got the glass topped lift up to the viewing platform.took lots of pictures through the metal bars and walked up to the cafe where i think that due to the lateness of the hour (near 5pm), we were lucky enough to get a seat. The cafe is a revolving one,and there are no bars across the windows. I would suggest you are better off getting the lift to the cafe, then walking down to the observation deck, and then getting the lift down from there.you can get better photos from the cafe and don't have to wheeze up two flights of steps

Walking along the Danube we found this tower and out of curiosity we went there. Once we got upstairs (150 meters) what a magnificent view, we went to the upper floors and tried to go to dinner at the restaurant but it is only by reservation. To console ourselves we went to the bar on the lower floor for a drink and the ... Surprise, the floor turns around the axis of the tower in 40 minutes!! And the sunset is beautiful!!!
