5.00This tour was one of the best we did on our vacation. You learn so much history and get to see quite a few cool spaces int the palace. I was amazed at the family and history here. If you are in Vienna I absolutely recommend this tour!

5.00Very good tour. Saw other reviews that they had trouble finding the meeting spot, but the operator texted me the day before with instructions and a photo showing the meeting spot. We were visiting for the holidays and one of the larger Christmas markets in located at the palace grounds. Was very busy with the market but was easy to find. Was a little hard to hear our guide when outside near the market but once in the palace it was not an issue. Really enjoyed the tour and being able to spend time at the Christmas markets after

5.00Skip the line was not just a saying. We walked right by a LONG line. Tour guide was great. Meeting place was easy, right in front of the palace and with a very distinctive way of Identifying themself.

5.00There is so much to see on this tour that it makes for an incredible experience. We took this tour on our first full day in Vienna, which was a marvelous way to get a rich experience of the imperial court, life in the empire and the majesty of hundreds of years of history of Vienna. We really enjoyed this fabulous foray into history and culture. We had one of the best guides we have experienced with these types of tour – Raffe. He was knowledgeable, incredibly charming, funny, quite experienced and seemingly knew everything about the palace and the grounds. Raffe was a truly amazing guide with an endless knowledge of historical tidbits, stories about the grounds and the court, and so many fun facts that he kept everyone engaged and curious about what he would tell us next. He was very attentive in showing us things, going into the history of what we were seeing, answering all our questions, and at the end of the formal part of the tour gave us time to continue exploring what we wanted to see more in depth. Raffe is truly gifted. I try to study a place whenever I am to take a tour so I have some familiarity, know what questions to ask and can hone in on things I find I’d like to know more about. I had realized that I barely scratched the surface, as there was so much to learn, and the only real way to do so is to be there in person. This tour provided an excellent mixture of history, culture, society, class and how and why the Hapsburgs maintained power over hundreds of years. Truly recommended for anyone who loves history and even those who don’t, but still like to look upon in awe of magnificent buildings and spectacular grounds.
