Outstanding tour of a magnificent palace - if you love history this was a great tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and small group allowed lots of questions and answers . Highly recommended

Fascinating place. Inga was an amazing guide. She made the history of the Hapsburg dynasty come to life. Not only did she share her encyclopedic knowledge with us, but she also added funny anecdotes. The grounds were both interesting and beautiful. The gardens are huge and too much to see in one visit. I am glad we went on this tour.

Very nice tour / I’d personally recommend going an hour early , getting off at Heitzing have a coffee , then wander through the gardens to get to the fountain . Then after the tour exit at the other end of the gardens to Schönbrunn station

This is the only way to tour the palace and grounds. Ask for the guide Inga. She is terrific…so knowledgeable… insightful… funny… and communicates so well! Bravo Inga!

The Schönbrunn Palace tour in Vienna is spectacular. Very important to book ahead of time since it is likely the most popular tourist attraction in Vienna. Our tour guide Volker expertly related to us the fascinating history of the Hapsburg dynasty with a particular focus on Maria Theresia and Emporer Franz-Joseph who commissioned the building of the palace in the 18th century to rival Versailles. The opulence, beauty, decadence, and intricate craftsmanship on display are unrivaled. Easy to see how their excessive tastes and demands bankrupted Austria. 5⭐️s for the tour and Volker!

Loved our tour through the stunning grounds and palace buildings of Schönbrunn. Was interesting to learn about the history of the palace and its matriarch, Maria Theresa. We literally spent all day exploring the vast gardens and enjoying all that Schönbrunn has to offer. A must-see when visiting Vienna.

We had a great tour guide Ali; she’s from Italy but has lived in Vienna for decades - such a bubbly and fun (and very knowledgeable) tour guide. No cars allowed inside the gates so the taxis/uber will drop you off just outside. Cross the road, through the black gates into the courtyard and meet up at the right side fountain - shades not far away! The tour lasts over 2 hours and you get fast access and a guided inside - there’s coat storage (no bags allowed inside) and some steps during the tour but there is an elevator if you need it. After Ali’s great tour inside she gives you a tour of the lovely gardens. Then you are free to do your own thing - we walked to the beautiful fountain then UPHILL to the cafe on the hilltop that’s part of the estate. There are water bottle fill stations to right of fountain towards palace behind the ice cream trolley! There were 15 on our tour from all over. Tip? After you cold beer and light lunch in the cafe walk to the side exit and down a short (level) 5 min pathway and get uber to pick you up from there!
