What To Expect

Together with your professional wine guide (WSET III) you will explore Austrian wine culture, it's vineyards and landscape, beautiful wineries and the people behind the wines. We'll be exploring native grape varieties and tasting "Gemischter Satz" (Slow Food Presidio Product) and other Austrian varieties like Grüner Veltliner. After we met in the hotel lobby we'll drive to the vines, only 25 min and we'll see beautiful Vienna from above. Afterwards we'll taste up to 4 different wines in the vineyards at a typical Buschenschank (wine tavern) and learn a lot about Austrian wine and Austrian wine culture. If the weather is not so fine we'll head to an indoor Heurigen (also a wine tavern, but indoor).

I have been meaning to write this review for too long. Caroline provided such a fun and delicious day of wine tasting for me and a friend. The tour wound up just the three of us, which could have been awkward but was not at all. Caroline was so knowledgeable and approachable when it came to wine, and selected fantastic vineyards we never would have found on our own. If you’re in Vienna, make sure to schedule a wine tour with her! You won’t regret it.

We had a wonderful day at Kahlenberg. We started in Grinzing and Caro led us through the beautiful vineyards to the Kahlenberg. She was simply the best guide ever, has extensive knowledge in culinary and cultural terms. Thank you, definitely highly recommended.

WOW- would not have thought that "wine hike" and Vienna can actually be combined 😎 From Grinzing to the Kahlenber - after a felt 5min you hike in the middle of the vineyard - beautiful - a glass of rose and nibbles in between (THANKS to our guide CARO) - cozy end at Cafe Rondell am Cobenzl with wonderful food and a splash 😎 perfect girls trip in Vienna !!!

Last weekend we were able to experience Vienna in a completely different way. Starting from Grinzing, Caro led us through the beautiful vineyards to the Kahlenberg, from which we had a breathtaking view of all of Vienna. After the leisurely hike, there was a delicious refreshment at the Cobenzl winery, which of course also included a glass or two of wine. An ideal excursion for nature lovers who like to take time to enjoy! Again a big thank you to Caro, who showed us Vienna from a completely different side with her open and cheerful manner.
