JARLABANKES BRO - VIKING CAUSEWAY BRIDGE Jarlabanke's Bridge is an ancient Viking Age bridge named after the Viking chieftain Jarlabanke, who ordered its construction. The bridge is situated in the present-day Täby just north of Stockholm and is a remarkable historical site that dates back to the 11th century, making it one of the oldest known bridges in Sweden. Runestones by the site have inscriptions that mention Jarlabanke and his family, providing valuable information about the history of the area. The inscriptions reveal that Jarlabanke built the bridge in memory of himself and as a statement of his power. 4.00Guide was right on time to pick us up at the hotel. He was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. It would have been more pleasant if he had turned on some heat in the van. It was 50-55 degrees throughout the cloudy day with some cold wind so a warm van would have made it more comfortable. Overall a good experience otherwise.

4.00Wonderful history and knowledgeable guide. There was a lot of driving and after seeing so many run stones, the shine lost its luster. We saw some wonderful buildings, churches and learned a lot of history. It was a good tour although the driving combined with difficulty understanding the guide took a bit out of the experience.

5.00Impressive tour, the guide demonstrates extensive technical knowledge, makes good exploration and scores. Simply excellent, a little hard to withstand in the winter, in Uppsala even there were temperatures near -18o, but anyway with a good protection, regardless of the season, it is worth it!

2.00Tons of standing, lots of outside activity (meaning, dress appropriately with rain gear and comfortable shoes), and probably 2x as much detail as needed. Tour felt far too long. It's virtually ALL about Vikings with too little time in Upsala.

5.00Excellent tour. Our guide Urban was fantastic. I don’t think there is anything he doesn’t know. Was a very cold day so could maybe have cut the storytelling outside a little short. Wish I had visited the Viking museum either before or after but it is such a full day there isn’t time
