Villa Valmarana ai Nani, just outside the town of Vicenza, is an extraordinary monumental complex that includes the ‘Palazzina’ (Owner’s Residence), the Foresteria (Guest-House) – both frescoed by Giambattista and Giandomenico Tiepolo - and the Scuderia (Stables), within a historical park.
It's surrounded by walls decorated with Statues of Dwarfs. It's the only place in the world where you can admire together the art of the father, Giambattista and the son’s, Giandomenico Tiepolo. The Villa is still owned and inhabited by the Valmarana family, who commissioned the frescoes in 1757.

at the entrance garden small but well maintained, the very large and well maintained Guest House with beautifully affscate rooms. Then you move on to the villa and here it is a wonder of art. Reading the paper guide you will discover the whole history of the villa. Then the woods.... to take your breath away. Immense and well-kept with many plants well described by the panels, then the temple with inside the projectors that reflect on the walls a very nice movie. Beautiful walkway that emits sounds of crickets and owls that populate the park as you walk up to the big sphere. Congratulations

Despite living in Vicenza I had not yet visited this villa: it was really a surprise, both from an architectural and landscape point of view. Obviously the highlight are the frescoes by Tiepolo father and Tiepolo son, which told by the expert guide Francesca left us speechless. Thank you.

We visited the villa with the guided tour, and I must say it is worth it. Nicole, the guide, took us on a trip back in time telling the story of the villa and the beautiful frescoes by Tiepolo. A 5-minute walk also leads to the Rotonda, one of Palladio's most famous villas. A visit really pleasant and different from usual, we will remember.

The villa is really interesting, beautiful I Tiepolo absolutely must see. Difficulty finding parking, so much so that we were deciding to leave. Negative experience with the impractical use of the tablet, much better apps like those in the guesthouse and in the woods. The earphones supplied without the sponge caps (she justified saying that they no longer had any) but we were among the few people present and these did not have the tablet supplied, and insufficient audio.

A little difficult to access but the result is worth it... The villa is out of space and time. Tiepolo's frescoes are wonderful. The park is beautiful. Recommend

Villa Valmarana ai Nani - Vicenza Beautiful villa, rich in frescoes and furnishings that tell the story of the villa and the family that has lived in this residence for generations offering visitors an atmosphere elegant and welcoming. Paper supports give visitors the opportunity to learn about the history of the villa and appreciate the splendid frescoes by Tiepolo, father and son. In each room of the villa are made available to visitors chairs where you can comfortably sit, read and enjoy the paintings without getting tired. It seems a small thing, but in my opinion it is a sign of great attention to put the visitor at ease.

We visited the villa with the guided tour with Mr. Giuseppe.La visit was really interesting lasts about 2 hours, where the various explanations of the frescoes and paintings of the rooms are given, plus historical information. The price 17 euro.We visited it in the morning beginning at 10 30.If you want to find a place in front of the villa go well in advance.Otherwise it is difficult to find a posto.Al tempo part of the park is under renovation.

A wonderful residence that is not always included in tours of Venetian villas but which, like the others, absolutely deserves a visit. The interiors richly decorated by Giambattista and Giandomenico Tiepolo are unique and astonishing, and the place where the villa stands conveys a great serenity. There are very few parking spaces in front of the gate, but you can park in the area and then take a short walk to reach the site. Recommended visit without a shadow of a doubt.

The villa can be reached on foot from the center of Vicenza along the road along the rivers and a cycle and pedestrian path. We recommend it because it is problematic to park nearby, as there are a small number of spaces available. We took the guided tour with Giuseppe. It is not entirely visible because there are construction sites underway. This visit is more focused on the pictorial works mainly of Tiepolo father and son, featuring numerous very evocative frescoes, which Giuseppe was able to illustrate and enhance with a lot of passion, which he passed on to us. The presence of numerous stone statues representing garden gnomes on the surrounding walls is characteristic. I recommend visiting with a guide to fully appreciate it.
