What To Expect
Galleria Borghese
The Galleria Borghese is where you can find priceless masterpieces of 1st-3rd centuries, Follow our passionate guide who will show you the most fascinating and brilliant Artworks and bringing to life all the stories and events behind this structure. The main floor is mostly devoted to classical antiquities (including a famous 320–30 AD mosaic of gladiators found on the Borghese estate at Torrenova, on the Via Casilina outside Rome, in 1834), and classical and neo-classical sculpture such as the Venus Victrix. Its decorative scheme includes a trompe l'oeil ceiling fresco in the first room, or Salone, by the Sicilian artist Mariano Rossi makes such good use of foreshortening that it appears almost three-dimensional.

An awe inspiring tour at the Galleria Borghese

5.00We were late due to problems with taxis and public transport - Roma was so busy! But the guide (did not catch his name) waited for us. He was very knowledgeable, patient and engaging. The Galleria Borghese was amazing - such beautiful and significant artwork. Our guide did a wonderful job, wrapping the cultural and political history, mythology and the aspects of the artwork. Highly recommend our guide and the tour.

5.00Victoria was an amazing tour guide. This tour was incredibly informative, covered all rooms of the gallery, and made sure we saw the subtle nuances of each piece that you would otherwise only notice if you were an art history major. I've been on the tour once, and honestly, I would consider taking the exact same tour a second time because it is so dense with material that I worry I may have missed something. Bravo, Victoria and Crown Tours. This was worth every penny.

5.00A must. Not only is the gallery incredible, but without the guidance I'd probably spend 40 minutes inside and call it a day. But with our guide it was a completely different experience! She's amazing and we had an amazing time!
This was our first time to The Borghese Gallery. Other than the instructions to locate the tour group in the gardens.

5.00The Borghese Gallery is a must see. Personally I enjoyed it more than the Vatican Museum. With limited entry slots it didn't feel as crowded as some of the other locations in Rome. The entire visit lasted about 2 hours. Small bags/purses were allowed, anything larger than a very small backpack had to be checked in. Free bag check-in was nice. Clean restrooms available, an elevator if needed and a cafeteria as well. The Gallery itself was amazing, with a few works of art that I think anyone has to see if in Rome. My personal favorites were Bernini's marble statues, although the few Tiziano and the one Rafael were very impressive as well. What made the entire experience go from good to great was our guide, Federica. She was absolutely amazing! Provided a perfect blend of highlights on the villa and the art pieces within, from technique to the history and culture of the time to the story of each piece. All with a passion and knowledge and love for the art that was humbling to recognize. No jaded exposition, just a wonderful journey with a wonderful guide.

5.00Victoria was knowledgeable about the works in the Borghese Gallery, and about the history of their creation and accession to the collection. Her background in art history was apparent. She was a very effective leader for this tour and spoke clearly. The gallery is a don't-miss art experience, but be prepared for a fair hike from any Metro station. Consider whether a taxi will mskevthis a better experience for your group, particularly in warm weather.

5.00Superb discovery of the Borghese Gallery with magnificent sculptures and paintings. Breathtakingly beautiful. We loved it and were fortunate to be accompanied by an engaging guide. This will undoubtedly remain one of my favorite visits.
