What To Expect
Galleria Borghese
The Galleria Borghese is where you can find priceless masterpieces of 1st-3rd centuries, Follow our passionate guide who will show you the most fascinating and brilliant Artworks and bringing to life all the stories and events behind this structure. The main floor is mostly devoted to classical antiquities (including a famous 320–30 AD mosaic of gladiators found on the Borghese estate at Torrenova, on the Via Casilina outside Rome, in 1834), and classical and neo-classical sculpture such as the Venus Victrix. Its decorative scheme includes a trompe l'oeil ceiling fresco in the first room, or Salone, by the Sicilian artist Mariano Rossi makes such good use of foreshortening that it appears almost three-dimensional.

5.00The Galleria Borghese is a must see if you visit Rome. It is full of sculptures and paintings, one more remarkable than the next. We had the great fortune to have Viktoria as our guide. She is extremely knowledgeable about all of the works in the Galleria. She also very friendly, approachable and happy to answer questions.

5.00This is the best museum tour I’ve ever had! The crowd control enhance the experience by feeling spacious most of the time. Our guy, Bianca was extraordinary, very knowledgeable and personable. I highly recommend her in the Borghesi was truly delightful and so interesting. The one thing people should know is that it’s easier to take a taxi or Uber to the museum. We took the bus and had to walk about a mile and a half because they didn’t stop at the Borghese. Still once we were there, Crown Tours were spot on.
