Kairouan
The Great Mosque of Okba Ibn Nafi, one of the most important Islamic monuments and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At the Barouta Well in Kairouan, a camel operates a traditional mechanism to draw water from the well, preserving an ancient technique used for centuries. The Medina of Kairouan, with its traditional streets, local markets, and authentic handicrafts
El-Jem
The El Jem Amphitheatre is one of the best-preserved Roman monuments in the world and one of the most impressive in North Africa. Built in the 3rd century during the Roman Empire, it could accommodate around 35,000 spectators. This monumental structure was mainly used for gladiator fights and public spectacles. Its massive architecture, majestic arches, and underground corridors reflect the greatness of Roman civilization in Tunisia. Today listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, visitors can climb the seating tiers, explore the underground galleries, and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views. The El Jem Archaeological Museum, located near the amphitheatre, houses an outstanding collection of Roman mosaics among the finest in North Africa.

We booked the Kairouan & El Jem trip for my birthday. The communication with the company beforehand was great, all of my questions and amendments were met with warmth and accommodation. I changed the the amount of people on the booking 3 times, resulting in different vehicles being booked and obviously different price quotes being generated but it never seemed too much trouble, I was always met with the traditional Tunisian "No problem" I booked for 13 people so we had a minibus, because they knew it was my birthday the bus arrived decorated with Happy Birthday balloons which was a beautiful touch. Our guide was Ahmed, it was his first trip with the company and he was wonderful, he was very friendly and answered all of our questions with enthusiasm and knowledge, anything he wasn't sure of he would make sure he went to find out exactly the answer so we knew everything we wanted to know. We felt like Ahmed was simply another friend in our group (The friend with all the answers) We were out a total of 6 hours and in that time we took in every single thing we were shown, we had the freedom to split apart and look around at our own pleasure, not a strict guided tour but always safe in the knowledge that Ahmed was close by should we need him. The Architecture at the mosque was simply stunning and left us all feeling in awe, nearby was a rooftop which we were led to through a local shop, we could buy a drink and relax overlooking the mosque which was a beautiful touch, the views were fantastic. The walk through the medina and the stop at the Barouta was a fabulous experience of traditional Tunisian life, we watched the camel operate the well and then were welcomed and encouraged to try the water it produced, which is considered holy, clean and potable. The Amphitheatre is another stunning visit, bring your strong legs if you want to reach the top and explore down below, there are many steep and sometimes uneven steps but absolutely worth it for the views and experience. Again we all went our separate ways with Ahmed always staying with at least one of the group. He was happy for us to take all the time we wanted, and we never felt rushed. Overall we had an amazing day, I would recommend this company and this trip to anyone. Get yourselves out there, see the real Tunisia and do it with a company that will put you first at every turn. Fantastic

We had a wonderful day exploring with Beshir today. Staying in a large hotel, you feel very disconnected from the country. It also hasn’t helped that our weather on holiday has been far less than hoped for. However, today we got to have a real feel for Tunisia and its fascinating history and people. Beshir was very approachable and answered all our questions knowledgeablely. I would really recommend this tour and this operator. You will have a great time and see a very beautiful area with fascinating history. El Jem outstrips the Coliseum in my opinion. Be aware that there are entrance fees ( 20 Riyal per adult, 2 for <12yo) which is fair enough to look after these monuments. The restaurant we went was good with an outstanding view of El Jem. We ran out of time to explore Monastir in full, but we were all quite tired after a full day. Beshir gave us a car tour which helped us get a feel for it. Book on now, you won’t regret it
