What To Expect
Paia
No trip to Maui is complete without a trip to Paia, Maui’s coolest little town. Located on the North Shore, Paia started as a plantation town with the opening of Paia Store in 1896 to serve the needs of the multi-cultural plantation workers of Paia Sugar Mill.
Ke'anae Arboretum
Located adjacent to the Pi'ina'au Stream, the Ke'anae Arboretum features terraces built by ancient Hawaiians for cultivating taro, which was a staple of their diet. A paved walkway measuring 0.6 miles runs through the arboretum, showcasing a diverse array of timber, fruit, and ornamental trees from different tropical regions of the world, many of which are labeled with nameplates. With over 150 types of tropical plants, including taro, the arboretum is an excellent spot to observe native flowers and marvel at the vibrant bark of rainbow eucalyptus trees.

5.00Levi made our Road to Hana tour fantastic. My husband, three sons (16, 15, 14), and I loved the day, hitting all major stops and starting with a hike on the Pi'ilani trail. The Road to Hana is amazing, and having Levi as our guide allowed us to relax and enjoy the beauty without the stress of navigating the challenging road and dealing with local drivers.

5.00Our guides Spencer and Luke really made our day extremely memorable. We had rain during most of our day so we didn't do as much walking/hiking or swimming at the waterfalls but Spencer and Luke took us to quite a few non touristy locations! It was wonderful! We met many kind and beautiful people, saw huge turtles and tons of gushing waterfalls. We ate amazing bbq at a local family place. Bought the most delicious banana bread and passion fruit shortbread cookies from another family run place and heard a lot of history about the road to Hana and Maui. If you ever get the chance to use this company, make sure you request Spencer and Luke! Mahalo!

5.00This experience was the highlight of our trip!! Shayne was awesome. So friendly, knew all the great spots and even avoided the crowds. He climbed a waterfall with our kids to show them exactly where/how to jump safely. We enjoyed a great lunch spot with an incredible view, saw turtles, got some epic photos and had a truly amazing time! I would highly recommend!

5.00Highly recommend this tour! If you want to enjoy the sites on this narrow, winding road,having an experienced tour guide is a must! Plus, with a private tour, we were able to customize our stops and spend as long or little time at each. Our tour guide Luke was prompt and incredibly courteous. He went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. His knowledge of the various parts of our tour was impeccable. At the end of the day we felt we’d made a new friend. Mahalo Luke!

5.00Day trip is well worth time and money. Melissa showed us the true scenic beauty of Hawaii. She was full of information and knew all the great spots. I am glad I did take motion sickness medication! Our teenage granddaughters really enjoyed the trip and our guide Melissa.

5.00Incredible tour with gems of information and experiences along the way. Our guide, Melissa was so knowledgeable about different aspects of the island and history making for an amazing learning experience and sightseeing tour. She tailored our stops to ensure everyone in our family had the opportunity to experience their ‘must see/do’ along the way. Riding with Melissa felt more like a personal family experience than a generic tour.
The Road to Hāna must be done with Melissa!

5.00Melissa made our private Road to Hāna tour the highlight of our Maui trip. From the moment we set off she had us covered — snacks and cold drinks ready, and an itinerary that hit every great spot along the way. We did cow cuddles, stopped at waterfall after waterfall, relaxed at beautiful beaches, and she took us to the best chocolate stop on the island (a small local place, not some big commercial tourist trap — exactly the kind of hidden gem you hope for). Lunch was incredible huli huli chicken that we never would have found on our own. Melissa knew all the right places, timed everything perfectly to beat the crowds, and made the whole day feel personal and fun. If you want the Road to Hāna done right, ask for Melissa. Absolutely the best.

We booked the Full Day Road to Hana tour based on the company’s outstanding five-star reviews, but honestly, we had no idea just how special the experience would be. We knew we didn’t want to tackle the winding, curvy roads ourselves, so having a luxury vehicle to relax in was a huge plus. But what truly made the day unforgettable was Cully. She was incredibly informative, professional, funny, and an absolute joy to spend the day with. She shared so much fascinating information about the island’s history, flora, and fauna, making every stop along the way even more meaningful. She also knew all the best spots for those perfect Instagram-worthy photos and provided wonderful historical context at each location we visited. Cully’s passion for Maui and her knowledge of the island truly elevated the entire experience. We can’t recommend her highly enough. If you’re considering a Road to Hana tour, book it—you won’t be disappointed!
