Paia
No trip to Maui is complete without a trip to Paia, Maui’s coolest little town. Located on the North Shore, Paia started as a plantation town with the opening of Paia Store in 1896 to serve the needs of the multi-cultural plantation workers of Paia Sugar Mill.
Ke'anae Arboretum
Located adjacent to the Pi'ina'au Stream, the Ke'anae Arboretum features terraces built by ancient Hawaiians for cultivating taro, which was a staple of their diet. A paved walkway measuring 0.6 miles runs through the arboretum, showcasing a diverse array of timber, fruit, and ornamental trees from different tropical regions of the world, many of which are labeled with nameplates. With over 150 types of tropical plants, including taro, the arboretum is an excellent spot to observe native flowers and marvel at the vibrant bark of rainbow eucalyptus trees.

Pick up was easy. We were a group of 8. For comfort we split between two cars. Luke and Spencer were our guides. Very informative. Guides knew local plants and fauna. History of island and made great stops to accommodate everyone’s wishes. Black sand beaches, beautiful vistas, local shops for chocolate, banana bread and coffees. Waterfall stops with time for swimming. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer day. And drop off right at our boat at the end of the day. Highly recommend!

Our Road to Hana tour was unforgettable. The company was incredibly easy to work with—flexible, responsive, and great at communicating both during the booking process and the day before pickup. They tailored the entire experience to exactly what we wanted. I’ve taken many tours over the years, and this one stands out as one of the very best. Melissa, our guide, was exceptional—truly the best guide I’ve ever had. She welcomed us like ohana from the moment we met. Spending 8–10 hours in a car with someone you’ve never met could feel uncomfortable, but Melissa’s warm, personable nature made the day feel effortless. Her knowledge of the island, the Road to Hana, the plants, wildlife, culture, and history was incredible, and her passion for Hawaii shone through in everything she shared. She even doubled as our photographer, capturing tons of great photos and sending them to us afterward. If you’re planning to experience the Road to Hana, I can’t recommend this company enough—and you should absolutely request Melissa.

Our Road to Hana tour with Spencer and Luke was amazing! They were both extremely informative, personable, and clearly passionate about the islands’s culture and history. We especially appreciated stopping at local places that made the experience feel authentic and special. Highly recommend!

Our tour guide Spencer was fantastic. He shared stories about the history of the island, plants, trees and wildlife in addition to finding us some great spots away from the tourists. He also took us to a few shops, stands and a restaurant. Everything we did he made the trip based on what we wanted to see. Great job!

We had an awesome trip with Donovan! He had great ideas but allowed us to pick what we wanted to do. He was very knowledgeable about the island and shared some good stories. This is our second trip with this company & we would highly recommend it.

This was the star of our trip to Hawaii. Not only was the road to Hāna beautiful but the local knowledge and stories that our tour guide Melissa shared with us throughout the day made it a once in a lifetime experience. The road was much too difficult for us to do by ourselves and the ability to sit back and relax and take in the sights was so worth it. She also took photos of us and shared a whole album after the tour which was incredible. Can’t recommend this or Melissa enough.

This tour was not what we expected or what was described. It stated that snacks, water and soda were included. Not once were we offered any of these items. It rained the majority of the day. We understand that we cannot control the weather. However, our tour guide seemed to use the rain as an excuse to skip most of the stops on the tour. We did not stop at the Arboretum, Ke'anae Point, Pua'a Ka'a State Park, Hana Gold Cacoa Plantation, or Koki Beach. The itinerary stated shopping and exploring in Hana. We only ate lunch there. There was not an option to stop and see any waterfalls up close. Our guide slowed down or pulled over so we could get a quick picture. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. We expected a fun day of seeing the sights on the Road to Hana. Instead, it was a long day spent mostly in the car.

We had an amazing time. Micheal helped us book last minute and Levi and Koby were so knowledgable, friendly and accommodating with our time constraint. We were able to hit the major ‘must-sees’ and still get back in time. They went above and beyond for us and we were so grateful! Would highly recommend this company.
