• Incredible ski experience with Youenn!

  We spent multiple days with our guide Youenn in Zermatt skiing down various pistes. He was extremely patient and knowledge about the area and was an excellent instructor and helped my daughter improve her ski skills considerably. He made lunch reservations for us and told us about the local bars and restaurants. It helped he was also from Canada! Overall an incredible experience!

  Our guide, Matt, was truly outstanding. He went above and beyond to navigate us through Zermatt, shared helpful tips throughout the day, and made the experience enjoyable. He was knowledgeable, patient, and personable—10/10, and we would absolutely book with him again. Unfortunately, our 2-star rating reflects the company’s organization and lack of transparency. The tour is marketed as a “VIP” guiding experience, but the logistics fell far short of that description. The Viator webpage provided very little practical information in advance. We were not told what lift tickets to purchase, where to rent equipment, or realistic rental costs. The listing stated “Ski & Snowboard Hire – estimated CHF 35 per day,” but our actual rental cost was CHF 182 for two adults, and lift tickets were $323.42 for one day. For a tour costing about $850 USD, clearer guidance on expected expenses, booking steps, and logistics is essential—especially in an expensive destination like Zermatt. Matt clearly cared deeply about providing a great experience, but the company’s structure and lack of communication did not match the premium “VIP” branding. They cannot expect a guide who is on the mountain all day and making sure their guest get home after apres to also deal with logistics the day before when they are skiing 30+ straight days in a row with groups. This company needs to do better. Matt was fantastic, but the company needs to improve its transparency, planning information, and overall logistics so guests can receive the level of service promised.

  My family booked two days of private ski tour with Ari Marttila and he was fantastic. He took us all over the Mountain and knew how to avoid the ski crowds. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants an amazing ski day in Zermatt.

  Wonderful day on the mountain with Ari. It was the perfect mix of an overview of the highlights of Zermatt and also helping us improve our form and technique. We had such a great time that we booked again the next day!

  Bozhen from PDS took us from Zermatt to Cervinia and managed to find every perfect slope on the mountain. His teaching? Calm, clear and wildly effective. I improved more in one day than I have in years. Simple tips that were easy to do and made a big difference. He’s fun to follow and we trailed him all day improving as we went. He matched his speed to our level and knew just when to stop to give us a tip and let us catch our breath. We skied, we laughed, we lunched spectacularly and we cruised back to Zermatt wishing we’d booked him for a week. Bozhen is charming and friendly and it was so enjoyable spending the day with him. He’s the skier you stop to watch and think ‘that’s how it’s done’.

  Seb was a great instructor and guide. As an intermediate skier, I felt safe and learned so much. He knows the mountains so well and got us to the non crowded areas. We were late everyday and he was always early but never complained! He even got us to happy hour and the champagne bar before the crowd. I never felt rushed or left behind. We took lots of breaks and were able to improve our skills. Seb took lots of videos and pictures. He has great stories and was very kind. I truly appreciate him!!

  

  

  

  

  

• Outstanding Service, Safety-First, True Professionals

  The team at PDS Snowsport are absolute professionals. We arrived with a group of over 140 people, and from the start, they were informative, efficient, and exceptionally organized. Managing a group of that size is no small task, yet everything ran smoothly. When challenges did arise, SIMON stepped in immediately and problem-solved with confidence and calm, which made a huge difference. We booked a guide for two days and had the pleasure of working with GREG, who was phenomenal. Zermatt is very much a skier’s mountain, and our group consisted mostly of snowboarders. Greg did his best to help us avoid cat tracks, but more importantly, his top priority was always safety. Not only did Greg safely guide us across both the Swiss and Italian sides of the mountain, but he also provided a level of personal attention that truly stood out. He learned up to 10 names, consistently made sure everyone was accounted for at intersections, and never rushed the group. On one occasion, conditions were extremely icy and difficult to lock into. Greg went above and beyond—personally carrying my snowboard over 100 yards to safety and helping my friend remove snow that had frozen to her face. That level of care, attentiveness, and professionalism is rare. Beyond the mountain, Greg was incredibly knowledgeable about local restaurants and the reservation process. His experience, insights, and genuine willingness to help made planning off-mountain time effortless and elevated the entire trip. If you’re skiing or snowboarding in Zermatt—especially with a large group—I cannot recommend PDS Snowsport enough. Safe, organized, responsive, and truly invested in creating a memorable experience from start to finish.

  We hired Adam for our final ski day in Zermatt, and he was fantastic. He was incredibly polite, patient, and extremely knowledgeable about the mountain. When I was ready to call it a day, he continued on with my children, taking them on more advanced runs that they absolutely loved. Adam even guided my son on very challenging terrain, and my son was so grateful for the experience and confidence Adam gave him while navigating the mountain. He was absolutely worth the price, and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an exceptional ski guide in Zermatt. He can help with beginners to advance so great for all.

  Our first day on the mountain with a guide was the BEST way to start a 5-day ski tour. Seb (Sebastian) taught us the "lay of the land," which was so helpful on all of the other days of our trip. Seb helped increase our confidence on the red runs (we thought we could only do blues). I loved this experience and would highly recommend it to anyone with a family who wants to enjoy the vastness of Zermatt.

  If you’re new to skiing in Zermatt, the best way to get the most out of your trip is to book a private guided day with PDS. I spent two days snowboarding with Andreas—one day on the Swiss side and one day on the Italian side. Andreas was awesome! He planned the perfect days and set up lunch reservations at some great restaurants, such as Igloo on the Italian side.
