Valentin was a knowledgeable and gracious host. This is truly small, generational family winemaking at its best. The wines are superb. The estate is a short walk from the St-Emilion train station, so no rental car needed. We enjoyed our time with Valentin more than we did in the shops in St-Emilion proper.

I made the reservation, paid, discounted on my card, but they canceled an hour before schedule. I got there and was never received. Irresponsible. I was not even served a glass of wine or tried der gentis. There was no one there to make the tasting. . . Bad place. I was on vacation, paid for transportation, lost my day, and still were rude. I've never been treated so badly. I don't indicate to anyone.

Valentin gave us a good introduction to the wine making process and then let us sample four bottles. He spoke excellent English and was very engaging.

We spent about an hour walking around the vineyards, and the chateau learning about the local wine. It was a truly interesting visit, and the wine itself was great. 8 definitely recommend this tour.
