5.00Loved this experience! We booked directly with the team at Vamos Travel (which was super easy and best value) and organized for a 7am departure to beat the heat. We had the volcano to ourselves! The hike wasn't super strenuous at all, and while the volcano slope looked steep from the top, I was pleasantly surprised how much control I had over the speed with my feet as brakes. The team we went with (Maria as our guide, plus a driver and a board-carrier) were all super professional and friendly. Highly, highly recommend!

5.00We arrived to León the night before this tour and in the morning we realised we had lost a pair of shoes on the shuttle to León. When the guides arrived to the hostel to pick us up they where very helpful and drove us to a store where we could buy a new pair of shoes before going to the volcano. The hike up the volcano and the view was great. Our guide explained a lot about the volcano and the surrounding area and when it was time to board down the volcano everything felt very safe and was a lot of fun! Amazing experience with the best tour guides you could ask for, definitely recommend it!

5.00Excellent activity in Nicaragua, the view is masterful once up there! Miguel is super nice and he taught us a lot. We were picked up in an air-conditioned car at the address we gave and dropped off at the same address. Don't forget your bandanas to cover your face during this decent epic.

5.00Was the highlight of our trip! Wonderful guide and driver. Although we were initially nervous about the hike and sledding down, the guides kept our minds at ease with helpful tips and celebratory Gatorade’s at the bottom. 10/10!

5.00Franklin made the whole experience so fun and comfortable, everything felt really safe and we were provided with all the equipment and clothing for the activity. The photos and videos provided are so professional and really made part of the experience. A must if you’re visiting León, we all had the best time.

5.00I went back on forth on whether to do this before my trip after reading some mixed reviews here. In the end, I’m really glad I did it. Yes, it’s a little bit touristy — but with good reason. The views were beautiful, in many ways the hike up was even more fun than the slide down. It seems like risk of injury is pretty minimal as long as you’re responsible with your speed.
