During this workshop, we teach you the basics of beer tasting with the help of 3 traditional Belgian beers, as well as how to make Brussels waffles using beer!
There will be an introduction and then a presentation about the beer. We will make our batter then let it sit for a while while we try the 3 beers. Then, we cook our waffles and cover them in as many sweet toppings as we want!
Feel free to make the craziest topping combinations and take pictures! Every participant can receive a complimentary drink to enjoy with his/her waffles, in addition to the beer.
If you eat over 9 waffles during the workshop, you will become our new champion!! The record has been standing for a while and we are looking for someone to beat it!!!

Welcome to the wonderful world of waffles and beer! We are here to tell you that it is absolutely possible to make waffles with beer - in fact, this is actually the most traditional way to enjoy your waffles. So join us for a hands-on workshop where we combine an exciting beer tasting with an all-you-can-eat Brussels waffle fest. We will serve you 3 great local Belgian beers (no generic brands here!), and you will have a wide range of options to top and decorate your Brussels waffles. Of course, you can also use beer to make your waffles. And during the whole activity, your host will also take you through some interesting historical facts and curiosities about everything related to waffles and beer. This activity can be fully veganized, and we do offer alcohol-free beer for the waffles if requested. Since this is also a beer-focused activity, we do not offer a gluten-free option for the beers. If you wish to do a gluten-free activity, you can check out our traditional waffle workshop instead.

We attended the workshop with our daughters nine and eleven years old. We were warmly welcomed and the atmosphere was just good from the start. After an introduction to the world of waffles, we started immediately and we baked quite excellent waffles in two groups and ate with different toppings afterwards. Around great, recommended, experience.

My daughter loved making her own waffles and putting on her own toppings. The leader was so so good. She was full of information and explained everything clearly. She was really fun and kind too. The waffles tasted really good!!

It was a very nice and concise cooking class! Great for solo travelers, can easily be done on your own and it’s easy to meet new people there.

We had a great time - you get to pick how many waffles you make the batter for and do everything yourself! They give you unlimited drinks and the topping selections for your waffles were delicious. Would recommend!

We had fun making the waffles, and they were delicious. However, there was not much content other than receiving a recipe and being told to make the waffles. All of the ingredients and waffle irons were shared with the group. Only 3 of the 9 participants really got to do anything. There were no instructions if you are new to cooking. My son had no idea how to separate an egg or how long you needed to whip an egg white until I showed him.. I think more effort could have gone into explaining how certain ingredients contribute to the taste or texture of the waffle. It was not much of an experience. I could have looked up the recipe online and had the same experience.

Unorganized. Ran out of strawberries, whipped cream and caramel sauce. Floor hadn't been swept for days at least. Not really all you can eat. Only enough batter to make 2 each. Enough for most. Lots of waiting for an available waffle iron

The place it self was a bit hard to find. The sign is only on the door, that is why I gave it only 4 stars. The teacher was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a class of 4 so it was just the right size.

Very good atmosphere, clear instructions, a small succinct but largely sufficient presentation. Soy milk available if requested. 100% English but accessible.
