This was an amazing experience! I was hesitant to go on a guided tour, but it was more convenient than trying to figure out our own transportation on the island. I am so glad that I decided to go with Ananda Tours. Our guide, Kelly, was a local and so friendly. She knew all about the island and told us all about it as she drove us around. She brought the whole group together so by the end all of us ended up getting a giant group photo! I haven't even mentioned the wine and the food. OH MY GOSH. It was sooooooo good. The lunch at Casita Miro was to die for. I cannot express how much I want to go back to New Zealand just to eat there again. The next time we go back to, I promise, I am booking this tour again!

We spent about half a day on Waiheke with our guide Grant, and the car was great and the guide was funny. The whole island is not very convenient by bus alone without chartering a bus, and Ananda's charter service is recommended. Grant has a history detailing the island, and we also went to Heke Winery, where the food was good, lamb was particularly highly recommended, and local Fire in the Hole cinnamon-flavored whisky was recommended on the wine side, with a low degree of 35 degrees but a rich entrance. And wine blended with local Meluka honey is highly recommended.

Although the weather was not very cooperative, we had a wonderful day out on the island with Michael - who was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable host. (Smooth driving and informative narration)… enjoyed the lunch at the Spanish winery. We also much-enjoyed the company of our fellow tourists and had some good chuckles. The stop at the olive plantation was a bonus! We highly recommend this tour - Thx Michael!

Loved this tour! Michael was a wonderful guide -- very informative and humorous. We especially enjoyed the lunch at a lovely restaurant, accompanied by wine tasting there. Highly recommend this tour.

Excellent tour. The tour guide knew the island very well and pointed all places on the island. The vine tasting was very informative and good as well as the lunch. I would do it again and highly recommend.

Craig was our guide and each stop was great! He had knowledge of the island and the people and history behind each place we visited. We were on our last day of a 17 day trip to Australia and New Zealand. All 8 in our group rated this day to be of their favorites! The smaller group size made it special.

Michael, our driver, was great! Gave us a wonderful tour accompanied by a great sense of humor and patience. Was disappointed with the change in the agenda as the tour was not quite as advertised. When I signed up, we were to visit three wineries. Later, the app said it was 2 wineries and a distillery for whiskey, gin & beer or a glass of wine. I don’t drink whiskey, gin or beer nor did they offer a glass of wine. So this stop was a waste of my money and time. I would have used a different tour company if I had know they were dropping a winery for a distillery. Came to the island for wine, not booze.

A full on day of eating and drinking. Be prepared! The tour was informative - both about Waiheke as well as the stops for wine, olive oil and whisky. The lunch stop was excellent apart from the SLOW service …. Which meant the last stop felt a little rushed.

We loved our tour. Took the 9am ferry over with reserved tickets and Michael, our guide, was waiting for us with our name on a sign. The van was fine with good people to hang out with. The highlight for me was lunch at Casita Miro. Such a beautiful place and view. Our food was excellent with wine tasting as well. The olive oil tasting a different place was also very nice. Michael also showed us highlights on the island including the beaches. Our tour ran a little over schedule so we weren't able to explore Oneroa. Caught the 4:30 ferry back with reserved tickets. Overall, well worth the ticket price and I do recommend it.

This was our first tasting tour in New Zealand, and a wonderful introduction to the wines and local delicacies of Waiheke Island, Our guide, Martin, was extremely knowledgeable and provided lots of interesting information as he drove us around. The tastings themselves were great and the platter lunch at Casita Miro was delicious. A fun day, and one I would definitely recommend.
