Overpriced and disappointing, unless you love wineries. This is the only activity of many we did over both the North and South Islands in New Zealand that we didn't enjoy. Our saving grace was stumbling on the delightful little Italian Restaurant, Fenice, in Waiheke. The food was exceptional and the staff were lovely, and there vegetarian pizza was the best I have ever tasted.

Buses were clean, but the driver didn't say a lot so didn't get much tourist commentary. They were also too quiet and couldn't hear them. To be honest I wish I had known about the public bus as I would've used it instead, as they would've been cheaper and they ran past us more often than the hop on hop off bus. I didn't find any advantage to using this bus over the public buses.

Very well pleased from the ferry to the Hop on Hop off tour guides and bus drivers. There were informative and friendly. I would definitely recommend this experience. Mahalo from Maui, Hawaii

The bus experience was amazing and all of the drivers were very informative and entertaining. The island itself was incredible. Definitely a do not miss outing if you are in Auckland, New Zeakand. The reason for a 4 star instead of 5 is because Viator site did not clearly state that the ferry was included in the price of this ticket. We ended up paying twice for the ferry. In otherwords, an extra $100.00. I tried to get a refund from the ferry terminal, but they couldn't because we used their tickets. I'm hoping Viator will give a refund, or at the very least, give us the credit we had built up to use with this ticket price. Approximately $50.00.

There appeared to be some crowding at bus stops and having to wait, but we did not experience that all bus drivers were excellent . we could not get tickets down on app but arrived at ferry and no problem.

We booked tickets for the ferry and hop on/hop off bus. The ferry ride was enjoyable, even on a cloudy day. Our first bus driver, a younger guy from Manchester (UK), was excellent. Safe, informative and he had a great sense of humour. Another driver was able to suggest a good lunch option (Soho) which suited us perfectly. We also used a double decker but didnt find the female guide as interesting, entertaining or informative. The ferry ride back was also interesting as the Sail GP was taking place in the harbour. Despite the weather, we had a great day.
