We booked tickets for the ferry and hop on/hop off bus. The ferry ride was enjoyable, even on a cloudy day. Our first bus driver, a younger guy from Manchester (UK), was excellent. Safe, informative and he had a great sense of humour. Another driver was able to suggest a good lunch option (Soho) which suited us perfectly. We also used a double decker but didnt find the female guide as interesting, entertaining or informative. The ferry ride back was also interesting as the Sail GP was taking place in the harbour. Despite the weather, we had a great day.

decided to do the western explorer with 2 course lunch on a whim. Had a great day! Hopping on/off was easy and the host were informative and announced each stop. Even when things didn’t go smoothly the ladies remained cool, calm and rolled with it. Ruth was especially engaging…enjoyed our ride with her. All in all it was a great first day in Auckland and the food was plenty and delicious.

We had such a lovely day exploring Waiheke — the weather was absolutely beautiful. We took the Eastern Explorer around the island and really enjoyed the experience. Special shout-out to Tony, one of the drivers, who kept us smiling with his fun trivia and wonderful service. It truly made the day even more memorable.

Firstly this ticket includes ferry return. This hop on and off includes multiple times to get off the bus and on the next bus. Bus returns every 20 to 30 mins. We enjoyed the comnentary. John and Tully was amazing host in the bus. Hats off to them. Best to book this and take time to enjoy the island at your pace.

Excellent way to get around, just remember first bus picks up 10am, many of the wineries do not open till 11 or 12 and shut by 5. Excellent drivers and commentary and regular service

Easy, convenient way to get around the island and enjoy the wineries. I thought the “buses come every 20 minutes” was an exaggeration but it was very accurate.

Fullers is doing it right, they hire the kindest, most polite, professional staff. From the very beginning after we bought the wrong tickets from an electronic kiosk, the ticket office staff fixed the problem quickly, the ferry support workers to the HOHO drivers were the best. We took the loop less traveled i.e. the Eastern Loop, where there were less people, small private wine tastings and absolutely, gorgeous views. We saw the beauty of the rolling hills of the east end. Big shout out to drivers Mikey and Chris for helping out two bungling tourists that kept leaving things on their busses, backpacks and then our precious wine we purchased. Gabby at the Waiheke dock and the ticket office staff in Auckland reunited us the next morning with our package.

First and foremost - this INCLUDES a ferry ticket. BUT, you have to go to the Fullers360 office and get your ticket. You can't go straight to the ferry. Also, the hop on/hop off bus is great and the operators are very friendly and helpful. The time will say 12AM, but that's only because the bus and ferrys run most of the day. Make sure you look at the last time the bus runs and the ferry runs, or you could get stuck. Docking this review a star for just how bad the description of this ticket actually is on Viator. We had to scour the comments for answers.

A mapped route along the main wine estates with several stops, blissful comments from the young guides who give a lot of information about the island and never waited long for the next bus to the next stop, top organization
