Getting to try all the wines that are made on the island was so educational. I loved Cable Bay’s Princess and Stoneyridge Winery’s Pinot Gris. Lunch at 372 on the beach was definitely a highlight also 😀

Caleb was a fantastic guide- so warm and made us feel at home as soon as we got off the ferry. The wineries were all great and lunch was delicious. Overall a great time and would definitely recommend!

Fun day on Waiheke with about 15 of us. Trip was well organized, we generally stayed on time and wineries were pretty decent. Overall, this was a good experience. A few things I’d change if I could: 1. Connect ferry tickets from Auckland - Waiheke to wine tour. This was a little more complicated than expected - what type of tickets to buy, when to get to the ferry, etc. and it would have been nice to have the two connected. The tour people oversimplified the ferry - it was busy going and it was a good thing we were in line an hour early - and coming back we missed the ferry we were told we’d have no trouble getting on, since the lines were long. 2. The wineries - I think it’s pretty standard but we’d like to have been able to select red wines only for drinking. It was a lot of wine in general over the course of a day, with 3-4 tastings per winery and 3 wineries, plus a glass of wine at lunch - so it would have been nice to perhaps pick reds only and get a few bigger pours of fewer wines. 3. Selection - the last winery we went to, Stoneyridge, had a truly good and expensive red blend called Larose their host talked about a lot when we were there, but they never gave us an opportunity to sample it when we were there, which was kind of deflating. Again, it would have been nice to have had an opportunity to upgrade our ticket for some better wines, or an offer for a sample for say, $10-$20. The offer was never extended. All in all, a good day - lunch was excellent and there was a good option there for wine, and we stayed on time and were well organized - just a bit more focus on the ferry ride over coupled with some expanded choices for better wines would have been great though.

This was well worth every penny! We got to enjoy some great wine, great food and even better company. Grant showed us around the island and made this experience so much more fun! Highly recommend doing this!
