Our family of 7, 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 3 grandchildren under 8 purchased premium seating for the show on March 26. We were seated in the second row from The stage and had a pretty good view of the performance. On our way in as we were greeted we were each offered a tropical drink, I found the Mai Tai to be a bit acidic but flavourful and not shy on the alcohol. The preshow wandering of the local Hawaiian art was a pleasant surprise as the quality of the catch has and other local trinkets etc was, I thought, of excellent quality. The luau offered buffet style meals with a separate children's offering which our kids really enjoyed. The adult buffet was of very good quality as well, typical Hawaiian fare, but plentiful and quite good for such a large crowd. The show had a cast of about 5 male and 4 female dancers, all of whom were very enjoyable to watch. The MC was articulate and informative with none of the corny theatrics seen at some other events. The fire dancing was AWESOME. Our whole group was riveted watching the very well choreographed and skillfully performed segment! Truly professional !!! The location of the luau at the Westin Ka'anapali Resort and spa was very pretty, but having to arrive and depart through a very busy arcade truly detracted from an otherwise very enjoyable evening. Try to get our children through this arcade was difficult as they really wanted to stop and play games, totally changing the wonderful vibe the luau had created. They really should fashion a different exit !!

We were staying at the Westin Maui so we opted to attend this luau. We were told to be there around 4:45 and doors opened at 5pm. The show and dinner didn’t start until 6:15. We paid for premium seating and the seats were okay but not worth the extra money in our opinion. The server was not very attentive and we had to walk to the bar for drinks. The entertainment seemed off and not very enthusiastic. Probably won’t attend another show at this location.

The Wailele Luau exceeded our expectations! The Luau is held in a beautiful courtyard with foliage and waterfalls, with the beach and ocean as a backdrop. The buffet was amazing, with a variety of authentic Hawaiian dishes. There was also a kid friendly buffet. And the open bar was a plus! The “Fire and Knife Performance” was outstanding as well. This should be at the top of your list when searching for a luau in Kaanapali.

Loved our experience. My husband and I attended the event with our daughter’s family which included 3 young boys (2yr, 4yr, 8yr). Food was excellent for all of us. Open bar was appreciated, show was fantastic. Our 3 grandsons were captivated for the 3 hour event. Staff were wonderful. We had a great, lovely evening.

This was our first luau and we had a great time! We had a hula lesson and the dancers were amazing! The food was pretty good as well and gave us a chance to sample different Hawaiian dishes.

It was interesting and fun to learn about Hawaiian Culture. The venue was nice The food was good I’m glad that we tried a luau but it was expensive, given that it was only a few hours long
