This was a fabulous way to spend an afternoon. Pete was informative and kept us all thoroughly entertained. The wineries were all different which made for a super afternoon out!

The wines in this area tend to be sweet whites. If that's not your thing, opt for.a wine tour in a different part of NZ.

Nothing special, basically went to three wineries in a van. The van driver talked about some of the things we saw on the way out to the wineries. The wineries themselves just poured the wine and gave brief descriptions of what they were pouring, essentially trying to sell bottles. The best part was the other people on the tour and enjoying their company. There wasn’t a lot of options for wine tours in this area.

Lovely little afternoon, however, it wasn’t really a tour so much as a driver for the day. A benefit since we’re drinking wine, but we’ve done tours like this before, where the guide shares their knowledge about the region. The wineries were pretty good, but again it felt much more like we’d hired a driver, rather than booking a tour. We had a fair amount of fun, but also felt like we could have done this ourself.

A lovely way to meet interesting like-minded people from the world around the world while sampling New Zealand varieties of wine. Lunch was quite nice at our first stop. Our driver/guide Miguel was friendly and knowledgeable.

Absolutely well worth the trip! Went to three great wineries and tasted some really lovely wines. Our tour director McGill was also an absolute delight and made the whole experience even better.
