Loved this experience. We went to one in rotorua and liked this a lot better as it was more authentic. People were fabulous and it was also lovely to meet other travelers at the dinner

Fantastic cultural experience - You have the Hangi dinner (full of meats and vegetables and a nice dessert) along with a live performance. You get the option (same day or next day) of taking a group tour, seeing another live performance, and access to the museums to round it out. I opted to do everything the same day and it turned into an amazing afternoon/evening full of culture and learning and great food and spending time meeting fellow travelers at the dinner table. Note - you can walk to the Treaty grounds from main town Paihia (i.e., near the wharf) if you give yourself 30 minutes at a reasonable pace. It's a beautiful walk along the water on sidewalks so you can enjoy the beautiful view while you walk to/from the venue.

A perfect dinner! Bathing in the heart of Maori culture for an evening was a great experience for us... These people live their culture with passion and above all a lot of pride, it is very beautiful to see! Strong in emotion 🤩

We liked learning about some of the Māori people and experiencing some of the tribal ways. And we liked that you could come back over a few days to do your experience.

We did the full package including a dinner. It was fantastic!!! The food was absolutely delicious. The performance was amazing the performers made you feel as though you were taken back in time to their ancestral homeland. The atmosphere was very authentic. The museums were on point and gave you a conceptual sense to the struggles of the people.

Our visit to the treaty house was very enjoyable. Our guide, CeCe was highly knowledgeable! Ine thing to note- If you are doing the dinner later in the day there is also a show so you don’t need to attend an earlier show- especially is you are limited on time. The shows are different but you learn the same cultural information for the most part. The dinner and show are both awesome. The performers are very talented!

Professionally guided to give one a better understanding of the complex issues underlying Maori culture and history in relation to colonial rule and their service during wars.

This was a very well run tour. Plenty of signage for easy access. We were given ear pieces to enable us to hear the tour guide which we thought was fantastic. The tour guide CeeCee was so knowledgeable it was amazing. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. A very enjoyable day. We also did the Cultural Tour at the meeting place. Fantastic performance by the staff. In the evening we also did the hungi which was delicious. Welcome drink on arrival. Meat was so tender. Very generous amount of food, lots of vegetables and salad. This was a very enjoyable evening with a walk through the Forrest and a further performance which was highly enjoyable. Highly recommended to all.
