Charming walking tour that begins in a cozy, friendly, eclectic café featuring local and Russian heritage favourites! We had the cabbage roll with special breads - delicious! Our walk was interesting and informative and we also took a taxi to Mt Hakadate with our wonderful guide - Rie Goto - as the cable car was under maintenance. The peninsula views are spectacular- don't miss! We then stopped at the City Museum of Northern Peoples and a lovely embroidery craft shop brfore returning to our cruise ship. Great value outing for both of us to include the taxi fare of €35. Would highly recommend! Thank you Rie! And thank you to the Russian Café who have such a warm welcome for everyone! Make sure to eat there!

It was a very personable experience with an informative and friendly guide and an excellent lunch at a special little restaurant. The guide showed us all the local sights and gave us a brief history of each...an interesting destination
