If you are fortunate enough to find yourself in the town of Fairhope, Alabama, be sure to do the "Taste of Fairhope" walking tour. We were blessed to have Jennifer who was born & raised in Fairhope as our guide. In addition to being the definition of southern charm, she was very knowledgeable about the town and the local culinary scene. We learned a fun fact that the author Winston Groom lived in Fairhope. He is most famous for writing the book “Forrest Gump”. It is my all time favorite movie. The tour lasted approximately 3 hours and included 6 stops: Provision for avocado toast, Bay Breeze Cafe for roasted corn & tomato bisque with grilled cheese, Panini Pete's for an Italian panini & the best beignets we've ever had, Happy Olive to sample & purchase some of their products, Market by the Bay for shrimp po-boy & seafood gumbo, and lastly, Mr. Gene's Beans for the Fairhope Float. The food and drinks were ah-mazing! We left with full bellies & a take home bag.

The tour was a great way to experience Fairhope history and delicious food. The walk is easy, and we ate at several restaurants we hadn't been to before and everything was tasty. The group was small, just the two of us and Jennifer, our tour guide. Jennifer was delightful - best tour guide ever!! She made it so much more fun, is very knowledge about Fairhope history and its people and just a pleasure to be around. We will definitely be doing this again and will recommend to others looking for a fun experience.

I highly recommend the food tour! Our guide, Jennifer was born and raised in Fairhope, she was incredibly knowledgeable about the town. She shared a wonderful story from her childhood, giving us a personal glimpse into life in Fairhope. The food selection was fantastic, the portions were perfect, and when it ended we were ready for a nap.

This was such a fun afternoon. I'm new to the area, so the tour provided an excellent opportunity to try some great restaurants in town. Jennifer was an amazing guide and stopped along the way to tell us some of the town's history. We really enjoyed the whole experience.

We booked this event as a placeholder on our anniversary trip; an organized activity other than just poking around in our own. What we got was so much more. There was background, some history of the town paired with personal highlights from a born and raised resident of the local culture, the food and proprietors. It was honestly more of the Paul Harvey, “rest of the story” version of a tour and that’s what made it exceptional. Oh, and the food. It was all very good and when asked I nearly couldn’t pick just one. If you get the cocktails (do that, you won’t regret it) you’ll likely find a new flavor to try at home. We had a great time and this was probably the best use of a few hours in Fairhope that could have wanted. Ask for Jennifer, she made this the highlight of our visit!

Very enjoyable. Food was very good. We were provided with a nice sampling of several different Fairhope restaurants. The food were things that I wouldn't have ordered for myself normally, so the tour gave us a chance to taste new items. Our tour guide, Jen was very personable, polite & friendly. She provided historical information about Fairhope as well as information about the restaurants and owners. Wife and I had a very nice day together.
