Following pickup from the Wanaka Lakefront Car Park, we’ll stroll down to the lakeside for that iconic photo of the Wānaka Tree. Soak in the beauty of this expansive lake, backdropped by Mt Aspiring and the Southern Alps—a paradise for photographers.
Lake Hawea Lookout
After crossing the mighty Clutha River, we head westward past the stunning Lake Hawea where we'll stop for a quick photo at a lookout point between Lake Wānaka and Lake Hāwea.

5.00A superb guided journey from Wanaka to Franz Josef. The driver / guide (Jonathan) was amazing, providing an informative description of key sights as well as very safe driving habits. The weather was attrocious, but the journey still interesting and the stops worth doing. Lunch at The Hard Anchor in Haast was included. All of the others in the Group had joined in Queenstown.
