Lovely Wanaka Wine Tour in the Otago Region

5.00We had an amazing experience with Wanaka Wine Tours. The small group size, just eight guests in a comfortable van, made the entire day feel personal and relaxed. Our driver picked us up directly from our Airbnb and dropped us back off afterward, which made everything incredibly convenient. As we drove through the beautiful Otago region, our guide, Rod, shared local commentary and stories that added depth to the experience. One of the highlights was the incredible meal cooked in old wine barrels. It was such a unique touch and something we had never seen before on a wine tour. The food, the wine, and the scenery all came together perfectly. If you are visiting Wanaka and want a well-paced, intimate wine tour with great local insight, this is an excellent choice.

5.00We had such a great afternoon with Wānaka Wine Tours! From the minute we met Jess, we knew it was going to be a good one. She’s the perfect mix of knowledgeable and down-to-earth, sharing cool local wine stories while keeping everything super relaxed and fun. It honestly felt like heading out for the afternoon with a friend who just happens to know a lot about the local wine culture. We kicked things off with lunch at Stoaker Room — so good! Hearty, delicious food that paired perfectly with the wines offered and it was a great way to meet our little “tour family” for the next three wineries. If you’re in Wānaka and keen for a fun, easygoing wine experience, we’d absolutely recommend Wānaka Wine Tours (especially with Jess!). Definitely a memorable day out in Central Otago wine country 🍷✨

5.00Really good experience, fun too. 4 wineries. Included a meal at Stoakers, wonderful, but the wine could have be explained. Rod was great, couldn't hear him when the minibus was rolling along, but he was informative, jolly and friendly. Didn't much like the first boutique winery in Wanaka, the lady was somewhat patronising and sarcastic on occasion. If you don't like the people, even the non- difficult ones, don't bother doing that work.

Visited 3 wineries located in Central Otago, including the Wanaka Stoaker room for a great lunch cook out of old wine barrels, potatoes and carrots are cheap in NZ, meat and seafood was superb. All 3 wineries were very welcoming. Jesse, the trainee 🤣🤣was a great wine tasting companion and Wayne the man in charge provided excellent insight to the area with his local knowledge, should have been a history teacher 😇😇. All up a great fun tour tasting great wine. Well done, Wayne🍷🍷

4.00Lovely tour with Wayne from Wanaka wine tours. We started off with a filling lunch paired with wine and then visited a few different wineries within short driving distance of Wanaka. Tour was small sized and enjoyable for a solo traveler.
If you like wine, this is a must!

5.00We were fortunate to have John as our guide and he was absolutely delightful! We visited four boutique vineyards and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Fabulous lunch with accompanying wines. What a great way to spend an afternoon. We had a group of six plus John. Fun!

The wineries and restaurant included in the tour were all great. All of the staff were awesome. We’d definitely recommend this tour for those staying in the area.

5.00We had a wonderful time on our wine tour! Scott was our host and he provided outstanding information on wines in the Central Otago region as well as awesome insight to the country of New Zealand. He picked us up at our AirBnb right on time and took us to 4 fabulous wineries where we enjoyed great wines, outstanding views, and learned about wine making here in this region. I highly recommend this tour!
