Amazing look back at an important time in history. Beautiful grounds, stunning architecture, and a staff that exudes knowledge of the history and passion for the experience. My kids are long grown up but they would have loved this. I went once before when I was a child and remembered enough that I wanted to go back… 45 years later!

Lovely place to visit, the kids play areas were well looked after, decent food and drink available and the castle itself fab. Star attraction was the falconry show. Best I have ever seen.

Make sure you attend the free walking tour, as well as the jousting show. Great choices for drinks and food but slightly overpriced. Bring a picnic blanket if you want to watch the Falcon show.
