  • Lovely half term break

Merlin pass holders booked 2 days here with a night in a knights lodge travelling with to 10 yr olds. As first time visitors I can say we all had a fab time here and having 2 days to explore meant we could take our time and not rush. We paid extra for the dungeons tour and highly Recommend with the staff making it an unforgettable experience! We also loved the bird of prey show and the archery exhibitions along with the Family Quiz! We had the chicken strips and chips from the van for lunch and this was excellent, and decent value for money… we passed the main cafe both days and it was absolutely overrun both times with huge queues so glad we found an alternative. The accommodation was fantastic, highly recommend the knights lodges, comfortably sleeping 4 with themed decor and woodland position. Also all got to have a go at Archery in the morning which was a lot of fun! We ate dinner in the knights tavern with burgers which was ok, and preferred over the buffet option in the main food hall. The evening entertainment was geared for younger kids but we enjoyed watching. Thank you for making it an enjoyable trip, we will be back

  • Queues for cafe

We all enjoyed the castle experience. Apart from the problems with the cafe. The queues were very long and the cafe was so crowded that we struggled to get a table. There was nowhere else apart from the tea rooms that sold food such as sandwiches. This rather spoilt our morning. But we loved the displays and events.

Overpriced Disneyfication of a beautiful castle. Packed with tourists and the only place I have seen a plastic sword for sale for nearly £20. Not only that, but you have to pay to park in a field a 20 minute walk away. This is Merlin Entertainments at their absolute worst. Everything is run down and utterly miserable.

We always wanted to stay and visit the castle and we already had a night staying at Alton towers so the trip down to the castle wasn't as far with this is mind. We stayed 1 night in the castle hotel. Room (360) was lovely the curtain between the main bed and bunk beds was an added privacy bonus as we never have this at splash landing hotel. Bath in the room also an added bonus for us. Room very clean, staff lovely and welcoming. We paid for the evening all you can eat food which is a little expensive for what you get. I had 1 alcoholic drink, my husband had refilled coke and my daughter a Capri sun and this came to £85. They also rang me 20mins after leaving to say I hadn't paid when I had so that was annoying having to go back to clarify. 10minute walk to the castle the next day which was easy. Castle beautiful but you can't see any of the grounds without a ticket, we only got a few hours in there as it didn't open until ten. Overall a great experience, maybe try the lodges next time.

  • Mostly a great day out!

Great family day out- lots to see and do! Great archery and falconry display! Lovely people working there! Our one and only disappointment was the food in the canteen in the castle was very disappointing! The entry way is small and not much room to have a look at the sandwiches. The kids bag was ok! Other options were jacket potato or sandwich and the panini I had was very disappointing! The map doesn’t highlight enough that there are other places to eat outside! The chips smelt lovely! But other than that great experience and would love to go again!

Absolutely love Warwick castle for the family trip. The castle entertainment team (Chris, Dean, Sam, Liz, Ed, Phil et al) are amazing and work super hard. We also stayed in the hotel which is also great and really good value.

What an amazing experience we had at Warwick Castle. Enjoyed every second and we were there all day! We loved the birds of prey display with Charles and the Dungeons were brilliant fun. We did tours with Ben and Andrew who most definitely brought their subject matter to life! A simply fabulous day from start to finish. Even the cafe is nice!
