This is a great way to learn about the city. Great history. We love these types of tours because we get a lot of them. We do it for a day, the entire trip and then on the second round we get off and on. Do the Arlington National Cemetery. Paying for it in advance also gets you on the tram within the cemetery. Do the cemetery first!!!

Great tour, excellent and knowledgeable driver! She was comical and accommodating. She knew just where to stop to provide excellent photo ops! She's a keeper!

There is no pickup at the DC ward, yet it is still on the map, and the trolly goes right by. Once we got that figured out the rest of the route was great.

DC is not a very walkable sightseeing city so Hop on/Hop off worked perfectly for us. Drivers had very good running commentaries along the way. Despite the Schumer Shutdown, we saw many of the sites we had planned on. The Arlington Cemetery loop is a “must see” add on

There was a No Kings protest that day so the trolley could not go down some of the tour routes, the roads were closed. They honored our tickets and offered us to come back another time so we will be doing that. As for Viator, when we were aware of the rally happening, I did contact the Viator company to see if we could change our date (not cancel) and they said since it was not within the 24-hour window they would not, so thankful for the actual company, Old town trolley, honored our pass for another visit. Viator needs to take notes on customer satisfaction, going forward I will not purchase from viator again, you can easily get tour bus tickets when you get there, and the staff on the old town trolly were amazing, they want their customers to have the best experience

See if you get Josaiah as your driver. He is excellent. Took real good care of everyone. Was very patient with everyone including unrelenting DC traffic.

We found this to not be worth the price. $400+ for 6 people. Took us around dc, if you get off the bus, plan on standing around for 20-30 min. The last time we got off the bus in Chinatown, we tried to get back on after eating. Stood around from 315-355pm without a bus coming by. Ended up having to ride the metro back to Union Station. They told us the last bus left Union Station at 4 pm, which would have meant several busses were still in circulation around the city at 315. I certainly would not do it again and it was way over priced for what you get. Not to mention getting stranded in DC by it.
