What To Expect

Our Tree Top Walk and Tower Zipline is a must-do for everyone from 6 to 106 years of age. It is an exciting, educational and must-do attraction for any traveller. Your two-hour adventure commences at the West Coast Tree Top Visitor Centre. Meet your highly trained and knowledgeable guide and get geared up and ready for an experience of a lifetime. From here, your guide will take you along the tree-top structure, enjoying and learning about the unique surrounding Rimu rainforest. Climb the 106 steps to the top of the spiral tower. Hook up with a friend on the tandem ziplines and be prepared to have your breath taken away as you both step off into the sky 45m or 15 storeys above the ground. Fly through the Rimu tree-tops at speed.

Brilliant morning. Really fun walk among the tree tops, and the zip line was great. Nice easy pace, not rushed to do anything

Exhilarating zipline ride, thrilling experience. Safety first and foremost...excellent staff. Treetops walk was amazing and the café food is stunning. Great gufts/souvenirs too.

this company goes the extra mile to provide great friendly service. all the staff were very helpful including Angie in the cafe. The views were amazing according to my family that went up onto the walkway. altho our daughter was terrified as she hates heights, she still thought it was incredible

What a fantastic experience. From check-in with a lovely receptionist who then fitted us up in our kit and told us a bit about what to expect with the zipline. Then a gorgeous walk through the treetops. The zipline staff, Matt and Sabrina, were absolutely brilliant. Patient, kind and reassuring, especially when I got the wobbles. I can't recommend this activity enough. What an amazing thing - to fly through the tops of native bush at a speed (not too fast), where you can appreciate the stunning scenery in this stunning country .

Fun and enjoyable . Lovely getting so high up to see the trees and view. Would have liked to do the zip line again as it went so fast but a great activity for most people as long as you can walk up the trail and all the stairs.

We had an incredible time on the West Coast Treetop walk and tower Zip Line, all thanks to Morgan! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience so enjoyable. Her positive energy and great guidance helped us feel comfortable and have fun every step of the way. Highly recommend!

We had a great day. The walk upto the top was a bit step but the staff were giving people a lift up and down the hill. The view from the tower was amazing. After we had done the walk we stopped at the Cafe for lunch. Wonderful service and yummy food. You must try Mama’s huge sausage roll, delicious!

Was disappointing to say the least. Did the combo, but got no guided tour, just a ride up to the tower to zipline. The staff were so unenthusiastic which made the experience less exciting. They were very deadpan and lack luster, no smiles or banter, just a job to them. The zipline itself was fun but would be better to have an option to pay for just zipline and not the Treetop Walk aswell, which from what I saw from the tower wasn't full of trees, it was very sparse. After zipline, no staff mentioned the tree top guided walk I had to ask if we could walk it which I decided not to.
Ancient forest come to life with a walk and a zip!

A fun way to visit some of the ancient forests surrounding Hokitika. Views were spectacular. It was nice to be able to walk near the top of the forest and looking down for a change. You can really see all the life that exists in the trees when you are at eye level with them. Something you cannot appreciate when down on the ground looking up. It was great to end the walk with a zipline down to the visitor center.
