Maui Mountain Activities offers horseback rides that take you up into the West Maui Mountains to view waterfalls (seasonal) from a distance, then down to the coastline to ride alongside the Pacific Ocean. Experience the tranquility of Maui's native rainforests and the beauty of its waters. There is a run spot where you can run your horse, if you want (weather permitting), and your guides will take photos of you with your camera along the way. Tour through the petting zoo and experience up close the many animals, which may include mini horses, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, and sheep. This is a 2 hour tour. Soft drinks are provided and complimentary.

ACCURATE body weights are mandatory. If you exceed the body weight given to us by 10 pounds, we will try to see if there is a horse that can accommodate you. If we do not have a horse to accommodate you, you will be unable to ride and will not be refunded.
Long pants, closed toe shoes, sunscreen and camera are recommended

What To Expect
AM Horseback ride is a 2-hour ride that goes gradually up the mountainside to view the waterfalls (seasonal) in the valley from a distance. Then ride down the mountainside all the way to the ocean where you will ride along the coastline (not white sand beach.) There is also an area you are allowed to trot or canter (weather permitting).

5.00Such a fun ride! Beautiful scenery! Great guides! Best trail horse I’ve had…had his own motor and didn’t try to eat every 2 minutes. The guides gave great instructions and let the more experienced riders run their horses, which I loved. Terrific pictures.

5.00What a great time with the family! First see the deer, pigs and peacocks. Then a couple hours of easy does it horseback riding thru Hawaiian forest to a beautiful overlook at the coast. Our very friendly guides Ciera and Kai made the ride easy. Even got to go faster than a walk! The horses where well behaved and knew their jobs well. My thanks to Red what a great horse.

5.00My daughter and I had a wonderful time experiencing amazing views with absolute gems of horses! Our guides, Kai and Sierra, were open, funny and engaging while keeping all riders of different levels safe. I was really impressed with the horses who look loved and cared for, know and love their job! I highly recommend.
10/10 —Was able cantered and felt well taken care of!

5.00Went on the horseback riding experience with both Kai and Cierra today. The experience was so much more than we expected it to be. Not just amazing views of Maui, but our guides were extremely knowledgeable, made the whole process so seamless, and fit us with the perfect horses for our skill level and experience. Kai and Cierra both spent time getting to know us, where we are visiting from, and were extremely sociable and kind, even giving us some of their favorite food recommendations around the island. We both felt very safe and cared for throughout the entire 3 hour process. If you are looking for a quality experience, go with this company and you won’t regret it. We would definitely be back to do it again! Lastly, we stopped at Ula Ula Cafe on our way back per Kai’s recommendation!

2.00no waterfall, and no “if you are experienced, you have two opportunities to canter or gallop, weather permitting” as mentioned in introduction. as for the photos shooting part , they only took pictures on 2 spots for every group rather than record on the way-

3.00It was showed on the introduction with” if you are experienced, you have two opportunities to canter or gallop”; However, we didn’t get any related information to those activities mentioned. We can understand there maybe no rain so no waterfall, but all experienced is just a ride back and force with horses head to tail- with all dust. Even the photo shooting parts were taken at the spots by group-not as mentioned like “ Your guide will take photos throughout the 2-hour tour and take you back to the ranch at the end.”

5.00This was a very good experience, the horses were very sweet, and very well trained, and our guides were very helpful and instructive through the whole trail. The money is completely worth spending if you like riding horses. The whole thing takes about 2 hours, but it feels like 10 minutes because it’s a lot of fun. There are moderately sized groups, but it’s still a very relaxing and calm atmosphere.

5.00Fun, great guides, mellow horses except Tiny had a bit of an attitude that day! Great trail except kind of muddy. Good view of the ocean from the bluff. Fun day we had. Encourage families and kids to go. Good for beginners and advanced riders.
