What To Expect
Red Cat Adventures
Set sail for a day of swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing in the Whitsundays on this full-day tour with Red Cat Adventures. Cruise around the islands on Thunder Cat, a high-speed catamaran, and discover the colorful underwater world of the UNESCO-listed Great Barrier Reef as you stop at two snorkeling hotspots. You will cruise at high speeds to Hill Inlet Lookout and take the famous walk to the lookout for stunning views of Whitehaven Beach. After taking some magical photos you can enjoy some beach time and dip your toes in the crystal clear water.

Wrong Time To Visit The Whitsundays

3.00We didn’t realise that between November to March, it’s not ideal to visit the Whitsundays because of heavy rains during this period. We booked for the Whitehaven & Hill Inlet but did not go to either one because of bad weather. The Red Cat crew were very lovely and tried their best to give us a good experience. But in the end, our snorkelling trip turned into a whitewater-rafting-like ride in rough seas. The bad weather was not their fault but it was very disappointing that we went on the wrong time to visit. We are planning to go back in August and hopefully we will get the full experience then.

4.00Awsome experience, great staff, beautiful location. What can be improved. They need to supply Flippers. Currents are to strong and would help people enjoy the experience a lot more and able to get back to the boat a lot easier.

5.00This tour was absolutely incredible! Red Cat is a wonderful tour company with great staff and great vibes. On the boat we were given brownies before Whitehaven beach, had the perfect amount of time at the beach, then lunch before snorkeling at two different spots, then fruit on the way back. Tristen, Cooper, and Glen were out crew members and they went above and beyond to make our experience magical. You can tell they love what they do, and that alone is enough to make the experience worth it. I’d highly recommend this tour!

5.00Amazing Whitsundays snorkeling and beach experience! From start to finish, everything was excellent — the booking process, communication, and the day out on the water were all seamless. A huge shoutout to Flynn, who was outstanding. He handled the day with total ease, grace, and patience, especially with guests who didn’t know how to swim. He made everyone feel safe and supported, all while calmly managing three boats at once with professionalism and respect. Have to share also that lunch was fantastic - just an added bonus! The entire crew was fantastic, and it was truly an amazing day on the water. Couldn’t recommend this experience more — thank you Flynn and crew!

5.00This was an experience of a lifetime! Our guides, Jordy and Jared were lovely. The walk to the lookout and the beach itself was something to be experienced. We had 2 snorkel opportunities and both were amazing! The beauty of the fish and coral was incredible. Wow!

Whitehaven Beach was stunning, with its pure white sand and crystal-clear water, and we had plenty of time to enjoy and take photos. The snorkeling spots were beautiful, with colorful fish and coral, and the guides were very helpful and well organized. It was a perfect day and a must-do experience in the Whitsundays.
