What To Expect
From December to May. A guided expedition is available only during the dry season. An intense and exciting scene awaits in the canyon of the upper section of the Naranjo River, just 25 minutes northeast of Quepos. This tour consists of venturing into a narrow canyon to paddle the white waters considered solid class IV, a technical and intense section that is very fun. The indescribable emotion as if you were going down a natural slide with small drops, waterfalls that come out of some walls where you find fossils. In addition, you can enjoy a delicious snack of fresh fruits on the banks of the river. The water level can increase or decrease depending on the rainfall, intensity, and adrenaline. Some technical details are variable, generally December and May are the months with the most water.

5.00Exhilarating rafting excursion! Phenomenal experience rafting thru the mountains and jungle of Costa Rica. Our tandem guides of Luis and Mangany were so good! Luis was on our raft guiding us and keeping us safe and having the time of our lives, while mangany was out ahead of us on a kayak getting us pictures of the adventure. Would highly highly recommend if you’re looking for some thrills! Our best excursion in 3 different trips to Costa Rica, will most certainly do it again when we return!

5.00We went as adults and older teens on this rafting trip and it was a blast. The guides were knowledgeable, helpful, and really focused on safety. There were several sections that were quite technical and we ended up falling out during a difficult section, but the tour worked together to make sure we had the tools we needed to handle the situation and get back in the boat quickly.
Chorro section is so much fun! Short but oh so sweet! Do it! These guys really know the river

5.00Jason Luis and Marjorie were INCREDIBLE and the Chorro section is pure FUN ADRENALINE! We are in our 50s and have rafted around the world. We do have experience but far from professional and getting older. This section is short but oh so sweet! Both our guide and safety kayaker (Luis and Jason) really know this river and handled it like pros. We could really tell they were finding the best line through the very technical sections making it fun but also working with our comfort level (not as confident as we used to be!) and physical ability (not as strong as we used to be!). The canyon is beautiful and the fruit, cassava chips, cookies snack at the end was a nice touch! Marjorie navigated the Costa Rican roads like a master. They picked us up at the house where we were staying on the edge of Quepos. It took about 30 mins to get to the put in and about 30 mins to get back. On the drive we learned about Costa Rica and the local area. Excellent English! We provided a deposit via PayPal to reserve the trip and the rest in cash at the end. Thanks Jason, Luis, and Marjorie!

From the start you get picked up from your hotel, and the guides are excited, and upbeat! Very friendly people, and awesome rafting. Even being a first timer, I felt well prepared for the experience!!

The rapids were exhilarating—easily the best we’ve encountered—so be ready to get soaked and have a blast. Our guide, Flippy, was fantastic! He was not only hilarious but also incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about Costa Rica throughout the trip. The entire experience was well-organized, and the energy from the group made it even more unforgettable. The photos they took captured every exciting moment, and the price was very reasonable—definitely worth it to relive the adventure! Without a doubt, the next time we visit Costa Rica, we’ll be booking this tour again. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable rafting experience!
