K.J was extremely informative and was a fantastic driver. Very witty, funny, patient and accommodating. The tour had breath taking views along the way….Emerald lake was stunning and Wild wilderness lodge is a must to visit, with great gift shops, dog sleds and animal farm.

Our guide Trey has a dry sense of humour and once you figure that out all is good. He took us to all the listed sites and more and gave good commentary throughout. He was good enough to pull over so we could video a black bear from the bus. Breathtaking views throughout and the lunch stop was great. A touch of the Wild West and an unexpected museum of the local wildlife which was impressive. Thank you Trey!!

The scenery was beautiful, and the trip was very easy. Our tour guide (Pam) got a little chatty and it would have been nice to have some quiet time to enjoy the grandeur. Our bus broke down shortly after we left, so we were held up a bit while a new one was sent. There was also a stop listed in Viator for the Klondike Gold Rush National Park, but that didn’t happen. All in all, it was a very enjoyable day with beautiful scenery.

When we headed out for the tour, the weather was awful. The windows of the bus fogged over. The driver/tour guide suggested folks open the windows (it was freezing outside) to take pictures and to help un-fog the windows. However, it was so foggy and overcast outside, there really wasn't much to see. The driver/tour guide would start to tell a story and then say, "We'll come back to that later." I have heard that comment before on other tours and usually they never come back to what it was they were talking about. On this tour, I believe the driver/tour guide did refer back to one story he started, but that was about it. The other thing he did, which I have seen other drivers do, is say that on the way back we would stop at places we bypassed on the way to our destination. That didn't happen. We drove right past every single thing he said we would stop at on the way back (two examples are a waterfall and the Alaska sign). We did stop at the Alaska sign on the way up and it was overcast and gloomy. He said if the weather was nice, we would stop on the way back and revisit taking pictures. He drove right past it on what was now a beautiful, sunny day and didn't even comment on the fact that he had decided we were no longer stopping. As for the tour itself, we went to the Wild Adventure Yukon place in Carcross for lunch. The food was okay, but the doughnuts for dessert were awful. We went in search of the puppies that grow up to be sled dogs, which is one of the big features of the "adventure." There were no puppies in sight. They also offer rides with the sled dogs, but there was no sign of that, either. As for a "petting zoo," there wasn't much to see other than a few goats. The alpacas were a bit off the beaten path and we did not check them out. The free museum with the stuffed animals was interesting, but that was about it. Other than the Wild Adventure Yukon, we stopped at Emerald Lake for a photo op and a few places along the way, when the weather was awful, for a few photo stops. All in all, nothing memorable. The first time we went, out tour guide was a gal who had a stuffed dog with her that she talked to all the way to the Yukon and back. We were in a van instead of what appeared to be an old school bus (same company, Skagway Tours) and she was hilarious, as well as informative. She took us further up the road than Emerald Lake (that was the furthest point we went to this time) and we saw some beautiful scenery. She also drove us around Skagway and showed us some areas that we did not drive by or discuss this time around (like where folks live when they come to Skagway to work during tour season). We had a much better time the first time around. Got to see the puppies, the sled dogs pulling the sled, etc. I realize the tour company can't control the Wild Adventure Yukon folks, but I am guessing this wasn't the first tour that was minus these attractions.

An Unforgettable Yukon Adventure with Mariah! Our excursion through Skagway and up into the Yukon was easily the highlight of our entire trip, and that is almost entirely thanks to our incredible host, **Mariah**! From the moment we climbed aboard, Mariah brought an amazing energy to the tour. She was absolutely **hilarious**—keeping everyone laughing with her witty commentary and fun local stories—but she was also incredibly **informative**. Her deep knowledge of the Klondike Gold Rush history, the local flora and fauna, and the stunning geography made the breathtaking landscapes come alive. > **Highlights of the tour:** > * Seamless travel from the historic streets of Skagway into the dramatic mountain passes of the Yukon. > * Jaw-dropping scenery with plenty of well-timed photo stops. > * Mariah's exceptional storytelling that made a full day of touring fly by. > If you are looking for a guide who is professional, deeply knowledgeable, and genuinely fun to spend the day with, look no further than Mariah. Thank you for making our Yukon experience so special!
