Arch's Iguana & Marine Park

Located in French Cay, Roatan, this popular iguana excursion is a short distance from both cruise ship ports. Arch’s Iguana & Marine Park is one of the oldest animal park’s & sanctuary on the island of Roatan. Mr. Sherman Arch established the sanctuary back in 1980 to protect the iguanas. Today, there are over 4,000 iguanas in the sanctuary, including the indigenous Black Spiny-Tailed Iguana that is native to Central America. this tour is approx. 30-45 minutes ,next you go to the monkeys and sloth sanctuary where you will be educated and learn about all the animals that are in the sanctuary making this the perfect tour for all animals lovers .this tour is approx. 45 minutes .

Be prepared to fall in love with your sloth cuddle, bird handling and experience the thrills of oh what fun it would be, to be a mischievous monkey !! Great time. I highly recommend the $20 photo package they offer. I had 118 photos waiting in my email box when I got home !!
Ask for Mishelle! She's the best! Our group loved her!!

We had an amazing time in Honduras on our Wildlife Adventure and Beach tour we booked through MJ Tours. First, we made the small walk based on the directions they gave us, which were spot on. We found a young lady holding the MJ sign. Her name is Mishelle and she was a fabulous tour guide. She explained exactly how our day was going to go and she delivered. She spoke perfect English and also Spanish, and we had both language speakers in our group so she was able to talk with everyone. She pointed out things around the town to show up and tell us about the culture. I highly recommend when you are booking this tour you ask for Mishelle when doing so. We had a great time and Mishelle was a big part of that. She helped us get our chairs at the beach and she gave us plenty of time to enjoy ourselves while getting us back to the cruise ship in plenty of time. This was my 3rd time in Honduras and I'll definitely be back and would do this tour again with her in a heartbeat. It was affordable and it included seeing guinea pigs, sloths, parrots, monkeys and iguanas, while visiting a beautiful beach.

(Saved some time by cutting and pasting my Facebook review LOL!) My friends and family (framily) all had a great time on our Tour with Mishelle. Our trip evolved as we went do to the wants and needs of our party and Mishelle was very accommodating. The sloth and monkey exhibit was great and my son got his life long wish to play with real monkeys fulfilled (his favorite stuffed animal from birth and still to this day is the same old monkey). West Bay beach was beautiful even on the overcast day. Luckily the weather cooperated by holding off the rain until our Drive back to the ship. Not enough good things can be said about our guide/host. Always kind and pleasant even with a van full of 8 (4 adults, 2 seven year olds, and 2 four year olds). My wife and I frequent Utila and have been to Roatán several times on various cruises. We will definitely use MJ Tours going forward and highly recommend taking one of their tours.
